Delete the file but then go to the recycle bin and restore it back to the game file. Then game will run in a normal window and with correct visualisation

Thanks, it actually worked but I noticed that there is a big black margin from both sides making the screen a bit smaller and it can't be fixed by adjusting resolution. I guess this doesn't work for me.

THIS DOES NOT WORK (for me!)
and if this does not work for you too then i might be know how to fix it like new!
1. just delete the files and reinstall the game. the save file is in the Documents so it is very safe to delete all Need For Speed: Most Wanted files anywhere else other than in the Documents. normally the game is installed inside This PC > OS(C:) > Program Files (x86) so delete its files inside that folder.
it works for me, came back like it used to when i fresh installed the game (currently in Blacklist 13 and i got this issue)
