Hey really the best bearhawk video out there still watching in 2021
Thanks Matt...glad you enjoy it!
Amazing! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome to see your first flight on floats!! With any luck I'll be there in two years. I have a set of PK3000s on the way. I think they weigh about 44 lbs more than yours. I'd love to see some high rate of climb footage when you get comfortable on them. And maybe a video on performance. (Speed, climb, stall change, etc.) Thanks for filming and posting!!!!
where are your pick up lift points on the plane? Nice to have had that in your video
Hey Steve...thanks for watching! The lifting eyes Rob used are posted in the Bearhawk forum. Look at the third post down and you will see some pictures of Rob's installation. He made a set of attach points for the front spar and one set for the rear spar. Come to find out the rear attach points were unnecessary, so he only has the front ones installed now. bearhawkforums.com/forum/bearhawk-patrol-plans-build/9626-lifting-rings
That's a gorgeous airplane on floats. So neat to watch!
Great video
Thanks for posting
no wind/light wind how many seconds to get off the water - light or full load?
Hi Steve...I passed this onto Rob Taylor and he will get some numbers for you when he gets his BH back on floats for the summer.
Looks like great fun! Congrats on a fine job!
Nice Work. Thanks for sharing Paul.
You're welcome.
Very nice video, thank-you for posting. I just joined the forum at BearHawk. My mission is to build a Seaplane
Nice job well done your airspeed is in MPH or knots
George Huntington In MPH.
Sweet. What’s the empty weight on float?
1845lbs
@@alaskabearhawk And empty weight on wheels?
Does a float plane "come in for a landing?" :) Sure looks nice, and gets off the water quickly!
Yeah…good point! It does land, as in alighting, but on water. But a touch and go is called a splash and go…at least in our neck of the woods.
Hi do you ever get any fuel vapour smells in the cockpit
I asked Rob and he said no...no fumes.
Hi which is better all metal or tube and fabric
Depends on your preference. Both are tried and true methods of construction.
@@alaskabearhawk yes I'm trying to decide on a bearhawk or a murphy build it's a hard decision for sure matt
@@mattwoody1089 Think the Murphy is a couple more hundred hours build time .. I have a Murphy Rebel
First! Hope You're Staying safe. See Ya :D
