Much of that impression was imparted by the use of a learned accent called the Mid-Atlantic accent. It was a quasi-English accent that was taught in schools as a way to sound more upper-crust. John Daly is a pro at it. So were Dorothy and Arlene. What makes me laugh are the guest panelists who tried to adopt it to sound more erudite. My favorite is when Johnny Carson appeared. He totally changed from a wacky comedian to kind of a stuffed shirt.
Delightful, and a reflection on when television (at least Stateside) was entertaining without the need for purposeful misinformation. Now...soapbox safely stowed away...find and view the hands-down best contestant before the blindfolded celebrity panel, one Salvador Dali ("Yes?").
Glad these contestants feel comfortable enough to joke around also 🙂
it’s not about comfortable! It’s about daring. You don’t need to be afraid of anyone not to joke
The panel were charming, polite, well read & very educated.

At 00:20, what the heck kind of dress is that Dorothy is wearing? What is up with that shoulder look ?
She looks like she got in the filming of the Wizard of Oz.
That's her "flying suit!" LOL🧙
What did these contestants do to be on the show?
Nice
1:02 what did he say ?
"I'm in the Navy proper - called the Marines." 😊
@@amb1962Incorrect, he said "I'm in the Navy proper _and so are the Marines_ "
The Marines have been part of the US Department of the Navy since 1834
