I think it’s totally fair to say this song reminds us of LINKIN PARK and POD because that’s what we were exposed to first
But I think Verge of Umbra towers above them! 🤩
In fact, I’ve often lamented that we don’t have better rap metal because I love rap, and I love metal, but there are just so few instances of them combining in a way that maintains the greatness of both
And I’ve often thought the closest we get to a genre that consistently delivers banging ass music that’s kind of metal and kind of rap is the hard-core reggae stuff like Tech N9ne and even some bounty killer and Buju Banton.
Verge of Umbra is the band that marries it all successfully
