I adopted a 12 year old cat that was mistreated. I placed a nice and cosy bed for her near my own bed, but on night one she already jumped on the bed and slept at my feet. 3 months later she loves getting under the sheets with me :)

That's what I enjoy about cats so much. You have to make a kind of relationship with a little creature, and it is based on trust. You can't just always get what you want because you're the human. It's great for teaching kids to have consideration and put effort into a relationship. Just my opinion, of course - just make sure a child will have the patience not to get angry if they don't get what they want from the cat straight away!
My Cat comes on my bed , makes biscuits , he does this about 5 times. I find him on my bed in the morning.

I have a Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Syndrome, I go to sleep and I wake up together with the cats (I have a remote job in the US and I live in Europe) 😊 we are purrfect companions to sleep together 😊
Throws have great advantages not just for cat comfort but easy to replace if shedding alot of fur or grit from litter tray. Have been doing this on beds and chairs for over a decade when one of my cats was sick on sofa on the first evening it was in the home.
When i have moved i have used the bedroom as the first room for them to get used to. Away from main doors and becomes there safe space ❤❤

You nailed it. I buy the extremely soft blankets from TJmaxx. My cats love to make biscuits on them and if I put it over my legs, they will fall asleep and between my legs. I wake up and I'll have two kittens cuddling in between my legs ♡ Also my son had a large avocado toast squishmallow. Notice I said had because the cats have it now. I know they made Pet beds now but why?If you can just buy a regular one and they love it just as much. I do stay up very late and my cats are on the same schedule as me. So they actually do sleep through the night.They wake up early , but then they cuddled with me. I put out dry food which I know is not the best but so They can have a little snack in the morning before I wake up. Besides that I do not give dry food and like only by the best.

My cat rarely goes to bed with me but she almost always is in my bed when I wake up, and we have looong snoozing and cuddling sessions in the morning. Unfortunately I can’t reward her with treats as she can only have a specific hypoallergenic food due to IBD. But as much as I would like her to go to bed with me, I let her do as she wishes. If she doesn’t feel like doing something, I won’t push her. All I want is for her to be happy and content, if she is, then I am too.
My cat has always for some reason slept in the opposite bedroom I’ve been sleeping in 😂. During the day she sleeps on lower half of my bed I’ve noticed.

I love when my cats sleep with me but they are fickle and sometimes choose their own pillow beds on the table beside my bed. What matters most is they choose to be close by all night long. 😁😸 Food coma…😂 Us humans fall for that too!

❤ my cat watches TV with her daddy and he watch a food show they were cooking fish and they said the word fish and she started sniffing the air when she saw the Steam on TV she licked her lips so sometimes they do know what they're looking at
When it's winter my 7 year old male scottish fold sleep with me on the bed as close as possible to my head while when it's summer he sleep on the bottom left corner of the bed, surveilling the window, or he sleeps on the ground right in front of the window. I believe he does like this for 2 reasons. 1) Just like me, He feels hot too if we're too close to each other (and I'm so glad for this) 2) he feels the urge to guard the window because I open it at night only when it's summer 😂
I have a 7-year-old Scottish Fold too! But a girl! Isn't it funny how our cats have such specific sleeping spots? 🛏️❄️☀️ It's adorable how yours switches it up based on the weather and keeps an eye on the window during summer nights. They're such thoughtful little companions! 😸🪟
@@Feline_Fanatics He makes me laugh so much for how he's goofy, sweet and talkative. Every day I look at him and I feel always like it was the first time. I can't get enough of that chubby grey seal 😂 I took him at home with me when he was 1 year old already so our relationship is more like best friends than dad-son. He's clingy in the right amount, he doesn't make biscuits, he never sit on my lap during the day but when I'm on the bed he climbs on my belly face to face and start purring or he plops just close to me then he position himself like a donut waiting for belly rubs. You surely know how that soft fluffy pouch is relaxing and makes you feel asleep in seconds 😅
When winter comes, my cat will wait for me to lift the covers and curl up against me. A few ear rubs and the purs start😊

My cat did not need any convincing to sleep on my bed. It actually thinks its her bed because she's sleeping on it more than i do. I'm at work she's sleeping on my bed, I come home she's on my bed. Natually when I sleep she's also on mybed... to her, it's not my bed, rather it's HER bed and she merely tolerates that I use I with her permission at night when I sleep.
A real bad thing having cat on my bed is thatshe sheds ALL OVER my bed and there's just no way around it. Cat hair and fur balls make their way up my nose in my mouth in my ear and just all Over everywhere... not a damned thing I can do about it either. I basically carry a big fur ball on me at any given time when I use a lint brush. Sigh... not a damned thing I can do to escape it.

My baby is shedding like crazy right now too. I just picked her up for a minute and my shirt got covered with hair lol. I’ve had cats for most of my life and by this point I’ve just accepted everything I own being full of hair 😅
