Zero has become a striking addition in these patch cycles. I find her thematic similarities to Zenos really interesting in how they parallel each other. Zenos was wrapped by apathy, unable to find any emotion to the world he lived in unless it was about combat with you. Zero due to her time in the void also struggles with understanding emotion and empathy, but unlike Zenos who ultimately couldn’t break his apathy, Zero seems to be on a path of understanding those around her. Great video discussing her, I shall continue to hold out hope she joins us as a Scion in the future.
I think she could be a great addition to our regular party, but I fear she’s going to be left to pick up the pieces after we’re done in the Thirteenth. Sort of like Ryne.
Wether Alisaie's line was meant to replicate Zidane or not, I LOVE that you pointed it out. :) One of my favorite moment in 6.3 is our interaction with Rubicante. Through the WoL's eyes, it was like confronting Emet-Selch again. Fighting a friendly foe who believes in a cause we can sympathize with. Even Rubicante himself admits that our cause is righteous, and I love it. The only thing missing was him healing us before the fight.
The 6.3 MSQ left me with so many questions about what could happen in the future!! It feels like Golbez' solution is total suicide of the 13th, rejoining with the source by flooding in voidsent and letting them die so they can finally move on. It doesn't seem like he's doing it out of spite for the Source, but out of complete exhaustion from being stuck in this never ending cycle of rebirth, spanning thousands of years, all because the Ascians fucked up and did a hit and run on the 13th! Another calamity would be so huge and I wonder if they actually intend on doing one, how will they tackle it? Needless to say I can't wait for 6.4 and 6.5!
I'm worried about these possiblities happening: Azdaja becoming the Shadow Dragon, kinda of somehow (or something worse than that even)...... Something like Zemus/Zeromus happening, possibly worse Zero could be that catalyst for it. (Not really a fear but....) Zero being related to Golbez or Golbez knowing of her in general and what that could mean for her overall. Golbez (trying on) killing Zero or something, but hopefully not. In general she and him could have a connection even if that's something like "oh they knew each other because of the memorite abilities in the war" or something like that. The idea of something **bad** happening at large to her or overall or so hasn't left me quite yet, and that alone makes me worried. So far in EW certain things I've (jokingly to friends) predicted before have happened in some way, so this makes my fears seem more frightening than others would think of them to be, making me just wonder..... 🤔
I really enjoyed the 6.3 msq, but it has me worried for Zero's future 😬. I'm so interested to see where they are going with this. I'd also love to hear what you think about this someone else. It's been a long time since FFIV for me 😅
As I was playing through these 6.3 quests, I kinda half realized that this is prolly what’s 7.0 going to be about.. it’s just setting it up so far - that we’re going to the void and dare I say it, zero will be the next version of eden, and ofc to save azdaja
Why did Zenos pick or was given Zero? I would imagine like his new weapon , his scythe, he would have his pick of most voidsent. She is not particularly powerful like the 4 Archfiends or even there respective officers. It doesn’t appear that many of her unique abilities as a Memoriate transfer to Zenos either. She has her memories as a human but other voidsent do as well. She is unique but not special in the way Zenos would find interesting, so why her?
I initially felt the same, but I think she'll make it out. I could probably expand on that in a Zeromus video. Not saying she becomes a Scion or permanent party member. She'll probably stay in the Thirteenth.
The problem with Zero’s speech to Rubicante is how empty her words are. “Wrong to Damn another to save yourself” says someone who got pulled out of the void into the world that didn’t suffer through the same destructive cataclysm the voidsent went through. “Voidsent’s way of life” is a necessity, nor some kind of moral deficiency, if people of the source were subjected to the flood of darkness, they would’ve ended exactly the same way. She dares to tell Rubicante about his way being wrong, yet she is the one who lucked out and is now being coddled by the scions in a living world where she can have many other aether supplies and is not bound to a cycle of rebirth and suffering. That’s a problem that comes up every time the writers of this game try to present morality, it’s the privileged few speaking to entire races and civilizations that have been doomed and led to the brink of despair.
I actually feel the same way as you, but not about Zero. With her, to me it felt like she was speaking to Rubicante as though she'd recently learned these things and was speaking from a place of realization, if that makes any sense. And we also know that she said she didn't fully consume other voidsent because she hated the act, and that she took little bits here and there to survive. She kinda just did what she had to, but she didn't go out and like...take minions and that kind of stuff, she helped wayward voidsent. She lucked out yes, but she did keep her moral stance the best she could in the Void. Not saying you are wrong, just my opinion!
Zero is the reason the last patches have felt so boring to me. As interesting as the story's premise is, it revolving around a character that has the charisma of Squall makes every single scene more boring than the previous. Zero is a pile of clichés stacked on top of each other, which is fitting, because so was Zenos, and I didn't enjoy his scenes either.
Eh... Her whole story (up to the current patch) feels extremely clichéd and uninteresting. Plus her visual appearance and overall facial animations (and their variety) does not change despite the "she's emotionally growing up" story progress. All in all, it feels like watching a movie with Keanu Reeves as the main character (any of them). I have neither sympathy nor antipathy towards Zero, at any point, unlike with many other characters in Endwalker/Shadowbringers, and I don't see my feelings changing in any further patches involving her.

Always happy to see a new upload.
The feeling is mutual for you my friend. :)
😆 I realized when I opened this video that I hadn't your latest yet!

Can we talk about how beautiful she is too?!?!?!?

I've really enjoyed Zero's arch so far, thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
Zero has quickly jumped to a fave character for me, alongside my main husband Hildibrand

I'd be interested in seeing a followup, given how things progressed. :)
Ah! I have been anxiously awaiting your next vid ^^ Happy New Year!
Same to you! Thank you for always having kind words.

You and me both! I think Zero will live, but not really become a staple in the Source. But I've been wrong plenty of times before, haha.
Welcome back! I haven't finished 6.3 MSQ yet but this is definitely going to be on my watchlist.
Very well done. I'm loving the new story and welcome any and all lore to come!
Thanks friend, me too!
You deserve so many more views/subscribers.
Thank you king. Interest in XIV is kinda down right now, but it’ll probably kick back up after Fanfest.
I definitely think you should talk about Golbez once 6.4 comes out, because I see his story coming to an arc at least in the up coming patch.

I want answers for this too, and I'm feeling confident we'll at least learn a little bit about why Zenos gravitated to her.
I feel like there's one answer. And it'll be interesting how that news would affect her. If I'm right, it would be fun.
@@scw55 I have a pet theory too but it’s far to obvious, I’m curious if they’ll follow a different path aside from her being another shard of Azem.
It came as a package with the scythe he picked up from the ones hermes gave him?
This feels like kingdom heart and bleach stories had a squareenix baby
Zenos is about as anime as it gets. And I love it.
Great stuff Stout!
Great video, as always😊
Thank you friend!
I also noticed the Final Fantasy 9 parallel
Looks like we'll be going back to the world of darkness
Love Zero
I love everything about her EXCEPT the hat tipping. Too much.
Zeroooo
she raises a lot of death flags. I am worried she is going to be Zeromus
I initially felt the same, but I think she'll make it out. I could probably expand on that in a Zeromus video. Not saying she becomes a Scion or permanent party member. She'll probably stay in the Thirteenth.
Zero for scions 2024
What music is playing the background? It's so beautiful
Yeah ur gonna talk about that superimposed image i dont know anything about
You got it.
this Post MSQ is about FFIV, i bet you anything that zero becomes Zeromus after some crazy stoy :)
yes tell use more about Zemus
Alisae = Hufflepuff
I ship Jullus and Zero. They are precious.
I can get behind that

Thats my wife
You mean zeromus
No, please i don't want to see zemus/zeromus... We don't need a flea of outer space who came from nowhere D:

Zero is nonbinary

So we go from boring to boring…
There’s still room for her to keep growing if she sticks around. I’m not entirely convinced she will, but I’d enjoy her tagging along for 7.0.
@@StoutHelm I’d rather have Moenbryda…
