Very nice explanation. It's not easy to understand everything at one time, but I will learn because you teach very well. Sorry for my english because I'm a french Canadian. I need to be more concentrated to catch all the subtlety of Thai language, english is not also my language and strangely I learn, (...what I know in english), in Thailand, not in my country. Thanks a lot for this nice teaching...
Thank you Kru Smuk, I learned a lot. Maybe just some improvement, since your face is on the bottom right, perhaps you want to scroll the page up a little so we can see the bottom right words, as it is usually blocked. :)
Kru Smuk hi. I have a question cluster sounds and also about the word rocket - จรวด? I was thinking that jaw-jaan - จ and raw-ruuea - ร forms a word cluster and the 2nd half of the cluster raw rueea will not be pronounced. A bit confused on this one? Maybe ร is silent only when there is a vowel on top of it, like the word จริง ?
Kruu khap I have questions .. is it always ะ+ห who could hidden vocal a .. because I found it many words with hidden vocal a .. and is it only a or any vocal could be hidden also
@@James-MV In the above example I think "funnily" really translates to "He plays tennis HAPPILY". Thanks Kru Samuk for a good lesson, when I'm ready her Ultimate Reading Course seems like it would be a good choice.
@@daviddennis5789 Yes! I got her course and it's excellent. She really ties together the underlying concepts which are so different in Thai than in English.
I just posted a few lesson previews of the Ultimate Guide to Thai Reading course. If you’d like to access all contents including the low class group 2, please check out my program: learn.bananathaischool.com/p/read-thai or email me if you need further info :)
@@BananaThaiSchool That I know but I wanted know that what would have been wrong in using ๋ with low class also? 🙏 if you could elaborate please นะครับ
@@subhash1691 I think it's just a nature of the language that Low-class consonants cannot be used with ๋ but ห lead instead. For example, the word nãaw หนาว = to be cold. To make this word a rising tone, you cannot just use ๋ but put ห instead ค่ะ
I was very confused by this, but it makes so much sense now. Thanks Kru Smuk!
Thailand's number one teacher... High class teacher teaches low class consonants
I was confused with ห while trying to read some sentences, so I had an urge to understand it. As a result, I found your lesson 🎉 thank you teacher ❤

I am really confused but I am an absolute beginner so I will go and learn some more and then return to this video to see if it makes sense to me 🤣
I notice some silent consonents such as "H".
I want to marry you, your teaching level is awesome.
These two consonants about to bring me to the point of desperation... I nearly quit learning Thai alphabets
funnily?
Yeah, it's archaic but can mean humorously or oddly depending on the context.

I'm confused. Why there is no vid about low class consonant group 2?

heh because it will only be in the paid programme i think!
Why don't we write นู๋ instead of หนู ?
นะครับ
Because only middle-class consonants can have the ๋ tone mark, and น is a low-class consonants.
