I think is shameful the Jimmy hater portion of the fanbase has such short-term memory on the state of the 9ers before he arrived. Putting it mildly, it was a train wreck and we couldn't win a game to save our lives. I still remember the moment Jimmy jumped into the last couple of minutes of the game against the Seahawks in 2017 he immediately scored a touchdown and then he proceeded to winning 5 straights to finish the season. Jimmy gave us so much hope. Too bad he went down with an ACL in 2018. But, the moment he became healthy, he took us to a Super Bowl right away. He went down last year, but now that he is back we find ourselves in the second NFC Championship game in 3 years!! This isn't a coincidence. Even when Jimmy struggles in a game, he is still leading the team. Everyone in the team not only just loves him, they respect him, they trust him and will do anything he tells them to. I am very grateful Jimmy has taken us this far in the playoffs again. I hope the 9ers will keep him for next season, he deserves to be here, he is the captain of our team. It will also give us more time to develop Trey Lance. Thanks for everything, Jim!!

Instead, he became the ideal teammate and is now 35-15 as a starter for the Niners, with a SB appearance and possibly another one. He's a solid B to B+ QB when you look at his yearly stats. Half the teams in the league would be instantly better if they got him as their QB, so he'll easily find another team if the Niners trade him.
