Jimmy has his up and downs and we can all say we’ve sat up at one point and criticized him harshly but love the guy he’s brought so much life back into the bay and to see the faithful flowing so heavily I appreciate this forever jim 👏🏾

I’m a Seahawks fan but I’ve always liked Jimmy G. Seems like a nice, chill guy. Not the best QB ever but definitely not the worst in the NFL and honestly, I think people are too hard on him when the 9ers lose. He makes mistakes sure but you can’t put an entire loss on one guy.

But tonight’s game showed why having a more mobile QB is better…not talking Lamar Jackson, I’m talking about Mahomes, Allen..if it were Lance, or a Steve Young (mobile enough), he could have scrambled and got a few first downs. It puts pressure on the defense and opens up the receivers on play action. When Jimmy scrambles, bad things happen, or nothing positive. I totally get the injured thumb affected his throws, but his thumb, or shoulder wasn’t hurt all year. Again, he’s an locker room guy and has tremendous leadership qualities, but he’s limited and the offense struggles when it is off script. That’s why Lance will make this offense top 5 and more explosive.
I feel so bad for jimmy he played through injuries and a lot of people just giving him flat out hate!! I really hope those who hate on Jimmy and the niners in general are happy because this was an emotional rollercoaster and still made it this far 👏👏

Even though we lost, I must say, these playoffs were amazing. The thought of being in the championship game was out of reach throughout the season, nobody saw that coming. I like Jimmy G, he’s a winner. His downfall is he can’t run away from pressure and he makes costly interceptions ruining momentum. Jimmy cant run, but he can pass. Lance can run, but his passing is mediocre so far. Hope next year we stay competitive.
They (49ers) did very well imo, early on it looked horrible but as the season went on they really jelled and showed who they were. 3 post season game appearances says a lot about them. They’re well respected in the NFL.
True that. Niners are a running team and rough defense. They're something like the Cowboys of the nineties. Troy Aikman was a perfect fit for them. Because their massive O line and Emmit was the engine and Aikman and Irving were secondary. I think Troys best year was about 25 TDs. Cowboys knew their identity and stuck with it. It was never on the table that Aikman was gonna make or break the deal. That's were 9ers go wrong they're set up to play smash mouth football and have Jimmy in complementary role. They only made 50 rushing yards Sunday. That's the main reason they lost. And giving up too many 3rd and longs.

The turn around for the niners didn’t start with the hiring of Shanahan and Lynch. It came about the moment he stepped on the field with a Niners uniform. He didn’t light up the stats but he helped the pull the Niners out of the funk they were in. He will forever be a Niner in my mind.

Jimmys a class act and big time leader / culture guy. He elevated this organization and we came short (just a few plays) when it mattered the most. That said, that’s why you make the big trade and hope Trey can be a top 10 QB with the big play ability to help us win the chip. Our DBs killed us in this game
O line was kinda trash too when we needed them. That last drive was like wtf was that? They got back there so fast I thought our o line was the Rams for a split second lol
Lol they didn’t allow a single sack all game. Up until the last drive, He had a clean pocket on nearly every drop back. Jimmy is not a game changer, he’s a middle of the road QB that makes poor decisions, misses open receivers and causes unnecessary turnovers.

Jimmy is a nice guy, he was literally tearing away at the end. I just want to show my utmost appreciation for how he helped the 9ers in these few years. Unfortunately, ultimately the 9ers will need an upgrade. I only wish his ceiling was higher otherwise I would have loved to have him as our franchise quarterback for many years to come. But, I guess is safe to say we will definitely be moving on from him now. Thanks for everything, Jim!
Jimmy G has a lot to be proud of this season. My son calls Jimmy G “the Fireman” as he is great at putting points/making the plays to get the W in the last 2-5 minutes of the game. He is cool and collected when the pressure is the greatest.

@40 Life what XST Media said. Whoever else they put in there, they operate with the EXACT same team that Garoppolo works with. And when he's not there, they absolutely suck. When he's there, at least they win. I'm not saying he's great QB, but he's easily B-tier in ability (his stats are comparable to QB's like Tannehill and Matt Ryan) and perhaps top tier in intangibles like leadership. He will easily find another team to start for if the Niners don't keep him.
If Tartt could catch a ball that is thrown right to him that throw wouldn't have mattered. If the defense doesn't blow another Double digit lead down the stretch in the playoffs the throw wouldn't have mattered. Alot of bad happened before that Final pass Jimmy played well enough for us to have a 10 point lead going into the 4th and the defense flushed it away with stupid penalties terrible pass coverage and lack luster run stopping. We were lucky the score wasn't 35-17 Rams.

Can’t win in this league unless you have “the guy” at QB. Jimmy ain’t it chief. The defense held Stafford and that offense all game long until the end. It’s a team game for a reason. But Jimmy didn’t give his team the push it needed. Jimmy will never usually be a reason you win, but he is always the one that costs them the game. They won games in spite of him. Until this game where it caught up to them.

How did a defense that blew multiple coverages could barely stop 1st down runs hold up. The Rams dropped 2 touchdowns in the 1st half one luckily bounced up and got picked. Did I say Jimmy was the guy at any point in time no I did not but I did say he had a Lead going into the 4th and his defense gave up the lead again. Why is that a hard concept for y'all to grasp? And it doesn't matter what Jimmy does if he picks it or not we will never know because the DEFENSE dropped the ball. It wasn't the One throw to Emmanuel it was the Multiple blown coverages and penalties given up by the secondary that cost them a Superbowl and it's the same for this game. They blew a coverage on OBJ and Ward gave them an extra 15 yards and they won by 3. Y'all are ridiculous fans who have no big picture of anything

@@wrk3182 I saw it as the Lambs selling out to stop the run kept him up for 3 quarters, once they knew we were throwing they teed off on the passing game and Garoppolo was basically getting hartased as soon as he finished his drop back, or earlier. But tonight’s game showed why having a more mobile QB is better…not talking Lamar Jackson, I’m talking about Mahomes, Allen..if it were Lance, or a Steve Young (mobile enough), he could have scrambled and got a few first downs. It puts pressure on the defense and opens up the receivers on play action. When Jimmy scrambles, bad things happen, or nothing positive. I totally get the injured thumb affected his throws, but his thumb, or shoulder wasn’t hurt all year. Again, he’s an locker room guy and has tremendous leadership qualities, but he’s limited and the offense struggles when it is off script. That’s why Lance will make this offense top 5 and more explosive.

Yep! That’s a true captain! Love Jimmy and I hope he gets another chance with a team that values his potential. How many Super Bowls has that quarterback for green bay been to? Is he any good? How many seasons has he played? To look at jimmy under a microscope and then others through a telescope isn’t really fair nor smart. He isn’t Rodgers but then again why does he need to be? Even though we lost, I must say, these playoffs were amazing. The thought of being in the championship game was out of reach throughout the season, nobody saw that coming. I like Jimmy G, he’s a winner. His downfall is he can’t run away from pressure and he makes costly interceptions ruining momentum. Jimmy cant run, but he can pass. Lance can run, but his passing is mediocre so far. Hope next year we stay competitive.

They (49ers) did very well imo, early on it looked horrible but as the season went on they really jelled and showed who they were. 3 post season game appearances says a lot about them. They’re well respected in the NFL.
True that. Niners are a running team and rough defense. They're something like the Cowboys of the nineties. Troy Aikman was a perfect fit for them. Because their massive O line and Emmit was the engine and Aikman and Irving were secondary. I think Troys best year was about 25 TDs. Cowboys knew their identity and stuck with it. It was never on the table that Aikman was gonna make or break the deal. That's were 9ers go wrong they're set up to play smash mouth football and have Jimmy in complementary role. They only made 50 rushing yards Sunday. That's the main reason they lost. And giving up too many 3rd and longs.

Unfortunately, ultimately the 9ers will need an upgrade. I only wish his ceiling was higher otherwise I would have loved to have him as our franchise quarterback for many years to come. Great season to all the Niners!! If Jaquaski Tart makes that interception do we win that game? My other question who do the Niners have at those crucial times that will get on his teammates the way that Aaron Donald got on his teamates or the way that Tyran Meathue got on his teamates during the Niners Super Bowl against the Chiefs. @40 Life what XST Media said. Whoever else they put in there, they operate with the EXACT same team that Garoppolo works with. And when he's not there, they absolutely suck. When he's there, at least they win. I'm not saying he's great QB, but he's easily B-tier in ability (his stats are comparable to QB's like Tannehill and Matt Ryan) and perhaps top tier in intangibles like leadership. He will easily find another team to start for if the Niners don't keep him.

If Tartt could catch a ball that is thrown right to him that throw wouldn't have mattered. If the defense doesn't blow another Double digit lead down the stretch in the playoffs the throw wouldn't have mattered. Alot of bad happened before that Final pass Jimmy played well enough for us to have a 10 point lead going into the 4th and the defense flushed it away with stupid penalties terrible pass coverage and lack luster run stopping. We were lucky the score wasn't 35-17 Rams.
@@robbie5138 when it mattered most, the lights got too big. Again. QB is the biggest position on the team for a reason. He missed multiple throws before this. Can’t win in this league unless you have “the guy” at QB. Jimmy ain’t it chief. The defense held Stafford and that offense all game long until the end. It’s a team game for a reason. But Jimmy didn’t give his team the push it needed. Jimmy will never usually be a reason you win, but he is always the one that costs them the game.
They won games in spite of him. Until this game where it caught up to them.

How did a defense that blew multiple coverages could barely stop 1st down runs hold up. The Rams dropped 2 touchdowns in the 1st half one luckily bounced up and got picked. Did I say Jimmy was the guy at any point in time no I did not but I did say he had a Lead going into the 4th and his defense gave up the lead again. Why is that a hard concept for y'all to grasp? And it doesn't matter what Jimmy does if he picks it or not we will never know because the DEFENSE dropped the ball. It wasn't the One throw to Emmanuel it was the Multiple blown coverages and penalties given up by the secondary that cost them a Superbowl and it's the same for this game. They blew a coverage on OBJ and Ward gave them an extra 15 yards and they won by 3. Y'all are ridiculous fans who have no big picture of anything

@@wrk3182 I saw it as the Lambs selling out to stop the run kept him up for 3 quarters, once they knew we were throwing they teed off on the passing game and Garoppolo was basically getting hartased as soon as he finished his drop back, or earlier. He did leave plays out on the field, but, we didn’t lose this game BECAUSE of him.
