There are tricycles in China too. I was looking at cars yesterday and noticed few of them had exhaust pipes. And it is nice not to have as much noise pollution from vehicles. Although there are still car horns
Electric car are going to save lots of foreign exchange for Africa. Couple with solar power electric generation, Africa will catch up in economic development faster than those who sanctioned these green and efficient devices.
Correction - These Chinese EVs are in Russia, Australia, Asia, Africa gulf, central Asia, Scandinavia & some EU countries. Nithing to do with sanctions its the tariff.
Sorry, not following you here. When used in certain ways, as is the case in the U.S. and EU, tariffs can also be economic sanctions. So, when you say “nothing to do with sanctions” I’m not sure what you mean. Biden’s tariffs on EVs are sanctions as are the EU’s. - Eric
Most africa country have the mild climate where tricycle and battery operated bicycle wirk well. These couple with medium size solar panel localized electric generating plants will quickly improve the economy. People should work on localized solar power plant, it is good business.
Let the emerging nations revert to solar energy and EVs so that they can steadily improve their industrialization process at a more affordable means. By a decade, I believe these nations will be able to reach a stage where they can offer some competition to the G7, say by 2035.

@@chinaglobalsouth EU tariff is between 20 to 35% & US is 100% not exactly as sanctions because some China EVs is still able to complete under 25% .
