Are you aware that you can perform three horizontal dodges for each vertical jump after a very brief delay? This yields a total of 9 horizontal dashes without touching the ground that goes SUBSTANTIALLY farther than this method. Additionally, you aren’t granted I-frames on melees in the air, so using the additional dodges allows for MUCH greater javelin longevity. I will note that the melee jumping you demonstrated is an excellent way to drop to the ground quickly from a distance as opposed to just falling, or a tool to cancel your tempest strike if an enemy dies/moves out of the way before it lands. If you already know this, than I apologize for the lengthy explanation, but I figured it would be a part of this guide if you did.
Hi chase, already explained this comment on my basics video, yes I already know this no its not 9 dashes, if ur movement is right u can do 12, also that technique is not practical in combat since one is close to the ground, didnt cover it because this guide mostly focuses on how to use movement in combat.
Also, once you’ve used your 9 dodges you can start flying, quickly melee spiral and hit the 3 dodges again. I don’t remember being able to melee spiral out of flying and automatically getting your 3 dodges back every time before this patch
So you can literally fly for 1-2 seconds, melee spiral, triple dodge, then repeat fly, melee spiral, triple dodge non stop and you go so fast and barely use thrusters
This was hugely informative. So much better than the average "here is my build, see how I kill mobs easily" videos. Love when people explain the actual game play and what they are doing, and why. getting a ton of buffs and not knowing how they interact with one another doesn't help much. This was fantastic. Can't play interceptor, I suck with it. Sent immediately to my friend, though!
Awesome man, thanks for the guide :) finished and practised the beginners guide yesterday, and from today on i'm gonna be working on situational awereness to make the interceptors movement to the fullest :) You're amazing!
for all the interceptor mains like me all you really need to do is: run ,jump, dodge, melee, jump, melee and jump again then fly to find somewhere to land to repeat. this is only if your not up to do this.
You play the interceptor completely different from me. I highly enjoy watching you decimate dome fools. I think they should add different armors later on, hopefully they will. My idea for one is the shadow. It would have the ability to turn invisible and teleport. Also it would have some drones to help fight and draw enemy fire. Just an idea.
So one thing I am noticing is that you tend to land with out attacking and then use your ability. Wouldn't you take more advantage of your movement if you landed with an attack and then used your your Tempest Kick? I feel like you land quicker with an attack and you are doing some damage.
Hey instead of using the melee cancel like that, try sprinting, jump, triple dodge and before you lose the speed from the dodge, use double jump then triple jump just after the apex. Basically you keep all the speed from the dodge and it's the fastest way I've found to get around. I never even fly anymore unless I'm going uphill but you do lose more altitude than that
Damn I did watch the whole thing too. I must have missed it my bad. I never used the melee cancel like that though I'm definitely going to work that in
Okay question for all the interceptors out there, is venom spay/tempest strike combo better or venom bomb/detonating strike better ?, considering they're both acid/electric I've always used the latter...I know they're both primers but I'm talking as if you was using your melee as a primer, I mean detonating strike is good just because of electric discharge you get if it happens to kill them but I'm still doing hard difficulty (lvl 21) and I find that it's not bad.
@@Salvajee yeah I know about the primers and detonators, I probably didn't explain it properly, i like to play with two primers and use my melee as a detonator...I know some might say that's stupid but that's just how I like to play so would that be ok to use in grandmaster with the advanced movement tactics as opposed to having venom spray/tempest strike or even spark dash/detonating strike or does one do a lot more damage than the other ?
@@Glovespark I have tried this too and I've noticed that most of the time my 2nd primer doesn't do a combo, I'm not sure if there's some sort of cooldown after a combo or what. But I also thought since the melee is a detonator why not use 2 primers.... I just haven't found that it works like I expected it too. It's very random weather I get the 2nd combo off especially if its right after the venom bomb combo.
@@Glovespark The problem with going two primers is you do not do enough damage in GM even with a combo but having a detonating and prime ability does a lot more damage in addition to combo damage and is easy to take down that enemy. I would have loved to have tempest as detonator and venom spray as primer simultaneously !
thx that you explain the movement can you do it for all jeavs? i hate it when i play with people who dont know what their jeavelin can do like storms hiding behind cover on the ground and hitting enemys with a sniper and of cause my main is interceptor and sec is storm as storm im always hovering directly above the enemys and dont get any dmg only when i dodge wrong or dodge into an attack
Quick dumb question but I'm having a hard time understanding how Detonating Strike works. When I use it against an enemy I see the blue fx on the enemy, does that mean in 4 seconds it will do extra damage by exploding? Or do I need to do melee attacks for that explotion to trigger?
when it dies while under the effect of the blue fx, it will blow up and do chain lightning to all enemies nearby. It's got a much larger aoe radius than venom bomb and does some decent burst damage and usually 1 shots all nearby enemies if you manage to proc the explosion.
basically use it on a trash mob and then melee the trash mob to death if it survives the skill itself. Also please note that while an enemy is affected by this skill, melee'ing that mob will trigger an elec aura and do combo damage.
I hate that anthem doesn't give the interceptor love like it should. Because the interceptor can be become a javelin juggernaut if you use it correctly.. I love mines and I don't see myself using anything else.. interceptor got me out of a lot tough situations and also my friends too... LMAOOOOO
Also, I would love to see a video with your interceptor tactics when fighting bosses. I feel like I am not doing enough damage because I am constantly getting hit and having to go build my shields back up. Keep in mind I am only playing on normal as I am level 15.
Interceptor in general is not good against bosses as most of your abilities are melee range. So what you should be doing is helping your team do more damage to the boss by your support and acid primer. You should use sniper and hit weak points and build up your ultimate. Your ultimate used correctly can do very high damage.
@@mirasolovklose3888 depends on your build honestly i get my ultimate alot becuase of the component i have when low health ..so taken the boss head on is necessary in some cases for me ..then i pop super deal the damage rinse and repeat...titans are kinda different for me tho
