- Fr. Richard Rohr is a globally recognized ecumenical teacher bearing witness to the universal awakening within Christian mysticism and the Perennial Tradition. He is a Franciscan priest of the New Mexico Province and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fr. Richard’s teaching is grounded in the Franciscan alternative orthodoxy-practices of contemplation and self-emptying, expressing itself in radical compassion, particularly for the socially marginalized.
Fr. Richard is the author of numerous books, including Everything Belongs, Adam’s Return, The Naked Now, Breathing Under Water, Falling Upward, Immortal Diamond, and Eager to Love: The Alternative Way of Francis of Assisi. His newest book is The Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation (with Mike Morrell).
Fr. Richard is academic Dean of the Living School for Action and Contemplation. Drawing upon Christianity’s place within the Perennial Tradition, the mission of the Living School is to produce compassionate and powerfully learned individuals who will work for positive change in the world based on awareness of our common union with God and all beings.

Richard Rohr has lit up my Christian journey.
I can feel, hear and see
Jesus in him. He has made many things clear to me that I have wrestled with. e.g.the Atonement.
Richard is teaching new age. This is not in the Bible. I implore you to read your Bible!

A lot of evangelicals think Rohr is some new age teacher but I don’t see that at all I see a person who is very open and understands god as a real love and word and names have polluted everything in humans

Bingo. He’s not ‘new age’ (not that that movement is all quatsch), he’s perfectly catechetical. He just teaches the WHOLE Tradition and not just part of it.

The Bible is truth. Richard is speaking lies. He is a goat in sheeps clothing. Jesus is not “in the tree,” Jesus created the tree! Jesus is God. Read the Bible.

We can see attributes of God, in a beautiful sunset, but it is new age to say God “is the sunset”. Who ever says this is only repeating new age religious philosophy. And new age philosophy is not in the Bible! Richard is not revealing a new “Christology, but old new age philosophy! This is dangerous!

A bit of a short-sighted interpretation of Scripture, in the same passage Jesus also says call no man teacher! What is your mother's husband to you? Rather ask yourself, what is Jesus really saying in the passage.
