EARLY VIEWERS, hello! Which London Parks are your favourite? What London guides should I do next? The next video I'm already working on is our epic trip to Jordan, which is a special place that I think will surprise you when you see it. Can't wait to share! Also, Canada will be later in the year also and was incredibly breathtaking. Looking forward to editing that footage together!
Hello sir. Although I am not from London (will be soon), I love to watch your videos because of your video quality and narration. Keep up the good work
Nice video, thank you! We love London and we've visited 6 times already since 2014 (coming september will be our 7th time). Visiting the parks is always a highlight for us, so it's nice to get some new inspiration. St James Park is my favorite so far. Followed by Kensington Gardens.
I love Kew gardens that I've visited a dozen times, at least. I also like Regent's park a lot, especially the rose garden, waterfall and merman and mermaids fountain. St James's Park is nice too.
Thank you for this. I lived in London for a year and still didn't get to discover all the parks. Could you make a video about London's best pubs? There seem to be many in every borough, but I would like to see your take on the most iconic ones.
Love all of your videos! I almost choked on my breakfast with your "thanks Charles" comment 😂 Our next UK trip will be much more rich due to your hard work. So glad we found your channel!
I have only been to London twice, but this video brings me back to some of my favorite places, primarily St. James Park. My wife and daughter are leaving for London mid August and I am sure this will give them some ideas.
I enjoyed seeing the parks in different seasons. We are planning to travel to London in March or April of 2023. We will definitely focus on seeing the parks (something we failed to do the first time we were in London). It looks like we will see some lovely blooms along with other beautiful sights in the parks. Also, thank you for the tips about the best access into the parks. Hampstead Heath and Richmond Park were my favorites, but it was difficult to choose. I look forward to all of your posts! Thank you!
Love your channel, I love how you take the viewer on a journey. I always hear London has the best Indian food outside of India, have you thought about a best Indian food in London episode ? Thanks 🙏🏾
This was fabulous. I am in the planning process of a London trip and am planning on staying at least two weeks to see as much as possible. I love gardens, they are so peaceful and unfortunately, I live in a place that does not have a lot of green space. I would love to see "what to do by month" videos, showing what is best to do depending on what month you are traveling. Thank you for your wonderful content.
I wish I can travel to England late spring 2023. Already postponed my trip since 2020 due to the pandemic. I ❤ parks and gardens, I can literally can spend hours strolling in the parks. London has multiple beautiful parks, my favourite is Hyde park, Richmond and Regent.
I absolutley LOVE your sense of humor in your videos, part of the charm of following you! Thank you for nice tourist tips with a warm and happy vibe to it!
Another great park is Wanstead Park, it’s pretty big at 140 acres and full of ponds, lakes, wildlife and woods, it’s grade ll listed and has a fascinating history as it was the gardens of one of the largest Manor Houses in England.
I so enjoy watching and learning from your videos. My husband and I were in London Dec 2021 and had a blast! Already dreaming of our next London/UK trip. Would love a video on top day trips from London (where you would not have to change hotels but leave in the am and come back in the evening) Or a video exploring Oxford and/or Cambridge.
Hi there thanks. I’ll keep in mind. Not sure if you know but I have a Stonehenge and Bath video which could both be a day trip on here. But yes, noted!
Very useful as I'm a mother I want to see new parks for my children and this is very helpful thank you so much keep updating us with videos like this 👍
I love London parks. Great vid! Some fav things of mine to see within the parks not in your video are the roses in Queen Mary's Gardens within Regents Park - all the roses have different names - check out the name of the roses between the toilets "Golden Showers" lol. The Duck Island Cottage on the edge of St.James' Park is like a magic film set. And within Victoria Park check out the alcoves from the original London Bridge.
I don't think in all my visits to London that I have visited a single one of these, and I can't wait to go back now and see them all! Love your videos, can't wait for the next ones!😊
Excellent video and very comprehensive of the London parks…..can I add that it is also worth going to Kenwood House if you are visiting Hampstead Heath
Thanks for creating such a wonderful guide, so many beautiful gardens to explore, hopefully I’ll get to come to visit Great Britain one day soon, hello from Australia 🇦🇺
I'll be in London later this month (first visit during the warmer months), and this video has been very helpful for planning activities in and around parks. I definitely want to take advantage of all the lush green spaces the city has to offer. Thanks for another fantastic video!
Hello Suitcase Monkey, Ive just found your channel but I'm glad I have as I found you easy to listen to and wonderfully and historically insightful, while adding wit. I was just looking up London green spaces and I'm not planning on going to London but, if I was to I would visit any or all of these parks on the strength of their beauty and your video as you showcase them all perfectly, thank you I shall be watching some more of your good work. 👍😊🌵🌴🌱🌲🌳🍄🌸🏵️💮🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷
Spent 15yrs working in London and never got time to visit any of the parks😭 Thanks for sharing these amazing parks, will make sure I visit some of them when I get a chance to return home.
@@SuitcaseMonkey Sadly I was only in London for work. I’m from Pompey (Portsmouth) and would drive Monday to Friday up the A3 to London and back home again.
Thank you sooooooooo much, just bumped into your channel 😊. Sooo happy someone covering parks especially as a parent of a yoiung child it's hard to find peaceful nice places. ❤❤❤❤❤
I lived in London for 5 years and I love watching your videos and being nostalgic (and also proud if I managed to tick all off the to do's off already ...this time only Phoenix Garden was missing). I would have added the Parc around Alexandra Palace as it has a great view on London and AllyPally often has concerts and street food events (and its very convenient to access if you live near Wood Green). I would suggest a video on London Street art (I love the parc near Brick Lane for it.. it reminds me of Mauer Park in Berlin). And one on the best places for Afternoon Tea :) Also thank you for the cookie shot recommendation in the cafe video.. it was amazing!! So sad its closed now.
Hey. Thanks for this, interesting to hear your thoughts! Yeah Ally Pally would more likely be on the list but it isn’t as easy to get to from where we are so isn’t on our radar as much. But good shout!
@@SuitcaseMonkey If you get ally Pally way then wander the burial grounds of Higate cemetery(highgate town is nice) and the old tomb of Karl Marx and other dignitaries Some of the funeral tombs are a great show of the way Victorians liked to have built around them when dead!
Excellent video! Beautiful filming and a good soundtrack, and very interesting insights. But you didn't mention the Greenwich Meridian!! My wife and I both look forward to your next films. Maybe the lost baggage hall at Heathrow or the endless security queue at Gatwick ;)
Exactly what I needed! It’s so hard to find places I can take my LO. So this gave me an idea as to whether the pram could go through and if there are changing rooms or not and what might catch his interest. London is filled with toddler friendly places but not baby friendly🥲
Such an insightful video! Learning so much from your videos, very easy to follow and absolutely gripping. Thank you! An idea: A supermarkets video would be very interesting and helpful including the alternative options, the common ones aside. Thanks! :)
I loved this!! Living in London for over 4 years, but I *always* find places I haven't been to or I haven't even heard about in your videos.. very valuable resource your putting out there. From this list, my favourites are Hampstead Heath and St James. I would add another park, which is the most underrated (in my opinion): Highgate Wood, close to Muswell Hill, Highgate Ville and Waterlow Park (another beautiful park). Most of Highgate Wood is a beautiful forest with wider and narrower paths to walk, and it also has a lovely cafe with gorgeous blooms in the spring. I'm also a fan of the canal AND winder wonderland.. looking forward to the upcoming videos
Nice to see that Battersea Park got a mention, I grew up in Battersea and it was my playground. However (and isn't there always a sting in the tail?!), why no mention of the stunningly beautiful Peace Pagoda and the fact that it's right on the river and flanked by two of the most beautiful bridges across the Thames?? 'A' for effort, but must try harder! 😄
Grew up 10 minutes walk from Richmond Park, it was wonderful back then. Open for walkers 24 hours and very special at twilight. Now, it's like a large car park and traffic jam. Still worth a visit but be warned, it gets very busy and doesn't have that countryside in the town feel anymore. Although, nearby Wimbledon Common provides that experience.
Hello Suitcase Love the video. We always visit a park or two when we come to London. The only one we have not visited on your list was Victoria park. Though we have been to many of the parks some are so big there are still parts we have not seen. We took notes for our next visits. We have fed a squirrel in St James park just like at home. We just come back for a short trip out to Vancouver and we visited two fabulous parks there Stanly park and Queen Elizabeth park. If you get to that part of Canada please add to your list. We also love walking along the Canal, there is a small park at little Venice, Rembrandt park. Regent park with the Zoo, the gardens and art displays are so worth the visit. We visited Battersie park on our last visit plus visited to Greenwich park. One honourable mention is Syon park. We even like visiting cemeteries as they where more park like in the late 1800s. Sorry I am rambling on. Thanks for an excellent video. Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
I haven't been to many of the London Parks despite living here for 2 years now! Regents park is great for pokemon if anyone plays PoGo lol. I will definitely have to get out more and see some of these parks!
I like to know the BEST of the various Ethnic restaurants in London: where is the best American, English, Irish, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, Spanish, Middle Eastern, Eastern European, etc., restaurant. Love your vds; well balance of you and wife and scenery; some tubers plaster themselves on the screen blabbing on about themselves and not about the trip. Yours are informative, geared toward the smart travelers. Thank you very much, learned so much and will search before I travel to same destination.
I thought it was Princess of Wales conservatory... not Prince of Wales. Btw, I love this video , since it contains many of my favourite parks and places in and around London.

It’s edited a bit already. I think it’ll be worth the wait! Great country to visit!
Regent Park and Queen Mary's Rose Garden.
All parks
I like that Kew Gardens has a show at the end of the day, but disappointed that it's in winter only as I am visiting in another season.
Absolutely love all your videos. My UK trip is going to be full of your recommendations. Thanks.
Regent Park is my default park whenever I visit, close to Horseguards and Buck House, perfect location for when I visit and have limited time
