Being a Drupad, and Rudraveena music lover, I like this type of music which played in slow tempo. . . Indian classical music is for Heart . . . Further a few artist tamper th sound of Veena nd it sounds like Electric Guitar….is too bad.
Please don't expect carnatic music to sound like hindustani music , more specifically dhrupad. Each form of Indian classical music has its own melodic body and tempo- dhrupad, kayal, tumri ,dadra- don't have the same tempo. Carnatic music with its pronounced kampita gamaka usage 'sounds' busier and faster. As long as the music produced is aesthetic, tempo does not matter- 'slow and leisurely ' is not necessarily superior to 'fast' tempos. The ragam played here - bilahari- also sounds great when played in faster kala pramanas.
Always sit one level below the pedestal on which the murti is placed.

It is because of a classical element called thanam which is fast paced
