Thank you for bringing back some fond memories of Herm. In 1965 I made a film on the island, we stayed at hotel for 12 weeks. The film was shown at Saturday Morning pictures (yup that old) as 12 year old boy we would go to St Peter Port at weekends on ferry to get a dose of reality, and then back to island on Sunday
Thanks for posting this video - I live here in Guernsey and it’s a truly beautiful island with stunning beaches & coastal views, such a great place to live 🏝
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching. How long have you lived here for? Especially at the moment with the way the world is, here is the best place we could be.
You're super inspiring and super fabulous! Another cracking video :-) Love your honesty too, but I think not having the perfect video is sometimes better because it's more real! Looking forward to the next one! x
Wow what a little gem of a place!! Those beaches are gorgeous!! Such a lovely thing to be vehicle free too 😊 BTW we didn't notice any compromises on the video, we loved it and we love your style! But we do appreciate the end part of the vlog, and we are with you all the way and perfectly happy to be more detailed in our comments, what we liked etc! , So happy to have found you're channel, you seem like our kinda people 👍🏼! Oh and Sarah agrees with the relationship advice 😊 Cheese is everything 😋
@@highlands2hammocks I remember the kiosk at Shell beach being closed when I went at the beginning of October a few years ago...although the woman cleaning it out took pity on my as it was so hot, I was parched so let me buy a bottle of water as she was emptying and cleaning it out. I agree the veggie burger at The Mermaid was so good.
I went to Shell Beach earlier this week and the facilities have been improved. The kiosk seems to have been extended and there is more seating and more menu options. There are new toilets right by the entrance to the beach.
Loved this video. Next time you're on Herm, head towards Shell Beach and when you get to the common , head north. The beach and headland is glorious up to Alderney Point. Check out the statue too
Brilliant stuff. How long was the walk to and from the beach when you got off the Ferry? Going forward...........ramble ramble ramble..............Going forward...........`All good` Another fab video.....Thanks.
You got the picking up and dropping off places wrong mate at high tide it's from the main Harbour and at low tide it's from the steps I live in Guernsey I was in herm on Monday 37.4 over there that's why there is a sign right outside the harbour that says when it's summertime it's the same temperature as paradise which it is
Great vid. Does anyone know the situation with day trip travellers to jersey? The jer gov website is ambiguous on what day trip travellers can or can’t do. They say everybody will be tested but if tests take 12 hours to get the results, the day tripper would have already left the island thus negating the need for a test.
Thanks for watching and Im glad you liked it. I am afraid I do not know much about the Jersey policies, however, I would say that day trips are definitely out of the question as you will need to isolate until you get a test back. Hopefully someday soon we will be able to go again!
