Great job, Excellent fix! Is that a salmon? Ha-ha just messing! Seriously, you made that look so easy, really! I'm glad I ran across this video. I'm just getting started with this whole paint pour thing. The taping thing went right over my head, it sounded normal to me...age, love it! Oooh, this would be really pretty with purple added to the jellyfish. I'm going to check out your channel, thanks for your time and sharing, Pam
You did great. Especially for a first time. It could have been a bit louder, but you will learn these things as you go. I’m going to try this tomorrow and I think I’ll add a tiny bit of a light teal. Thanks for the inspiration.
great painting. A different technique than most fluid artists with great results. I agree with Donna below your "happy accident" resulted in more depth when you finished fixing it. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Thank you
I haven’t seen anything like this before. It’s beautiful. I’m not very artsy but I enjoy watching people create works of art. I felt you conveyed the technique and why you use tile and your fix at the end very well. I will be checking your channel to see what else you have made now.
I really like your intuitive approach to this art style. I have seen quite a few acrylic pouring videos from various artists now and yours is more intentional, in this one, almost not really a pour at all, yet still recognizable as a pour and very unique and attractive to boot!
I saw the picture of your beautiful jellyfish ad couldn’t wait to watch you! It’s so beautiful! It seems you were struggling trying to form the tendrils on tile. Since I haven’t picked up a brush yet, I’m just observing. Whatever happened, you made the magic happen!! I LOVE IT! Cannot wait to try your jellyfish! I feel as if I’m your BFF, and your sharing the good and the oops 😬 with me! I love hearing your commentary! ❤️😍🥰
Ahhhh....that’s so kind of you to say! Yes I was struggling in this one. This was my very first video I ever made. I have 2 other videos on the jellyfish here on my channel, that may be a little easier to follow. :) I’m glad you are enjoying, thank you for watching!
This might be your first video but it’s certainly not the first time you’ve dabbled in the paint!!! You’re a great artist ❤️ Love this jellyfish ❤️❤️❤️
I enjoyed your video. I just took my first class in paint pouring and was looking for videos for information and inspiration on techniques. It's inspiring to watch as you work through the challenges of getting the look you want, even when an unexpected OOPS occurs. I would just like to say thank you for sharing your talent. I love the piece and that you used a surface that is more unique than what is normally used. My daughter is a dive instructor and would probably love something like this. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Love your commentary as you work! It makes me feel as if you’re speaking to me. And it makes me laugh which is always a good thing! I can’t want to give your jelly a try!
Oh so glad to hear Paula! Make sure you check out the other jellyfish videos I posted, they show the technique a little better! Good luck and happy painting!
Haha! So glad you appreciate that Denise!! LOL i'm just NOT that organized. Haha Also, I have found that even with the exact same formula, colors etc... you can never get the same result twice with this medium... so, YES, JUST GO WITH THE FLOW! LOVE IT! 💜
Go to Home Depot, Lowe's, Sutherlands, etc. Plumbing section. Buy what amounts to flexible surgical tubing. Smallest diameter they have that suits you. Less than $5.00 for 10 feet or so. Much better than a straw and you have _so_ much more control. :-) Keep up the great work!
This is a very interesting method to do the jellyfish. I just wonder if once you finished the subject and then looked at it later you may have notice that the jellyfish size could have been smaller for the size of the background. ?
Love the video, I have a canvas that I did a pour on and tried to paint a koi fish on it- did not work. So I covered those fish up and was trying to figure out what to put on those spots, jellyfish would be perfect. Glad I came across this video
I like the way you think. I’m a new subscriber and I truly look forward to seeing more of your videos. Your techniques are amazing and unique. Thank you!
I love it! It has a magical quality to it, great to see it coming to life. I'm so glad I found your channel 😊. I found the sound quality perfect, great picture😉
Thanks for making this video, I have had people look at my pours thinking this is so easy and lots of videos make it look so successful but it’s harder than it looks...
Thank you so much Kelcia! Please yes! Try it! It might take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but just keep playing with it. You'll get it! 💕 Have fun!
I’m really happy you enjoyed it Marcia! I know the scraping part may have been a bit much...but I swear I got good results that way in the past. LOL Thank you for watching!
I was thinking (so far I never did acrylics) that after the tentacles accident, you could have extended that line to meet the left side of the jellyfish. Then it would have looked as if we are looking into the jellyfishs underside where the tentacles come out :) I enjoyed the video and it looks fantastic!
Hi Sandra ....and thanks for watching! I have a video where I do FOUR jellyfish on a canvas... check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html
Micro brushes? I'll have to check em out! I'm glad you could hear it ok. Weird that a handful of people had issues with the volume. ?? Anyway, thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Thanks for watching Cathy! I'll be releasing a new video in a few days about how you can enter the art giveaway I'll be having in August, where you can win this jellyfish painting!
I really enjoyed this video. I have a suggestion; I'm trying to be helpful, not critical, so please don't take this as a criticism. On your next video, pretend as though you have about 10 students standing in a circle around you there in the studio. Pretend as though they have each paid a hefty sum to learn from you. Make sure that all 10 students can hear you--even the ones standing in the back because they paid their fee too. I'm sure talking on camera is not a natural thing for you, but if you pretend as though a whole group is trying to learn from you, it might make you sound less like mumbling and more like a teacher. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. The jellyfish is really cool!
Thanks for the advice Laura. This was my very first video, and I'm still trouble shooting ....and learning. I did change my audio method in future videos. Let me know if the sound/ speaking quality comes across better for you in those. I appreciate your feedback, ....and am glad you like the jellyfish! Thanks for watching!
Laura Buehler I liked the mumbling, much more natural video than just being told how and why! Not just learning about the painting proses but how she gets there and her own thoughts as it happens.
Oh, my goodness! You could start one of those wine and paint things and make a bundle!! I would take the class, then teach classes. Dang, girl!!!! Do it!!!!!!!
It's a 9" x 12" tile from Lowes. There are many sizes to choose from, and they are really cheap. Takes a little work to hang them... but here is a video of how I do it: ua-cam.com/video/6UynP-rZksc/v-deo.html Thanks for watching Monica!
This turned out incredible! You were very hard to hear, but I liked listening to you. Don't be afraid to speak up. Your voice is automatically at a disadvantage when you face away from the camera/microphone. :) This was a really good video, and I'm happy to subscribe.
Thanks Laure_lei! Sorry about the audio quality. This was my first video, and I've since improved the way I record the audio. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Happy painting! 💜
No, I don't sand them. But they have to be coated in resin after, to preserve them, otherwise the paint will scratch or peel off very easily. I intend to post a video of the finishing process in the near future. 😁
Have you used gesso before painting? It's my understanding that gesso helps to make the paint stick. Not sure if/or how well it works, but that's what I've read.
Thank You Susan! I am giving this painting away in a drawing next month. I discuss it in my latest video (#7) and next week will announce how to enter!
Apologies Janice. This was my first video, and I've since changed the way I recorded the audio. Please try my other jellyfish video here: ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html And thank you so much for watching and for the feedback!
I totally agree KJ. This was my very first youtube video, and I had no idea how annoying that would be. You might prefer this new updated jellyfish video instead! Thanks for watching! 💕 ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html
Hi Shelley, someone else mentioned that too. I've tried to fix that in my other videos. This was the very first one I did. Hopefully, the others come out better. Glad you liked the work, and thanks for watching. I will try to get another jellyfish one up in the future!
Apologies Elizabeth. This was my first video, and I have since fixed the issue. I will be creating another, better, jellyfish video in the near future. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Carol Bushey. The sound is fine on my all of my devices. I have had plenty of other people complain, and many others say it's fine. I just think some devices pick up the background noise more. Best advice I have is to try headphones with your particular device. I have changed the way I record in all other videos. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi Sandy Riddle-Weekes! The sound is fine on my all of my devices. I have had plenty of other people complain, and many others say it's fine. I just think some devices pick up the background noise more. Best advice I have is to try headphones with your particular device. I have changed the way I record in all other videos. Hope that helps. Thanks for your reply. I do hear other UA-camrs just fine. I just think you might want to consider projecting a bit more and just speak up because I want to hear your thoughts and comments as you work. Thank you for what you share.
Thank you for the feedback Sandy. I think you’ll find my other videos an improvement in audio quality. This was my very first video, and I did change how I record. I will eventually make another jellyfish video with better audio quality to try and make up for this one. So be on the lookout for that when I do it. :) Cheers Sandy!
You could set the tile on a lazy Susan so you can turn it as you go alone. This is really amazing!
Great job, Excellent fix! Is that a salmon? Ha-ha just messing!
Seriously, you made that look so easy, really!
I'm glad I ran across this video. I'm just getting started with this whole paint pour thing.

Oooh, this would be really pretty with purple added to the jellyfish.
I'm going to check out your channel, thanks for your time and sharing, Pam
Thanks! I love how you didn’t give up until you figured out a way to get 5hose tendrils. They turned out awesome! Keep posting.
Thanks for watching!
You did great. Especially for a first time. It could have been a bit louder, but you will learn these things as you go. I’m going to try this tomorrow and I think I’ll add a tiny bit of a light teal. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for the kind words Sherry! I think teal will make a lovely addition. Glad it inspired you! 💛
Beautiful. But I agree, had to strain to hear you at times. Loved the tile idea.
great painting. A different technique than most fluid artists with great results. I agree with Donna below your "happy accident" resulted in more depth when you finished fixing it. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Thank you

Try this one : ua-cam.com/video/IKIaFo2y8dw/v-deo.html
That turned out really good. You tinkered with it just long enough to get those great translucent-looking tentacles.
Thanks for watching Lord!
This might be your first video but it’s certainly not the first time you’ve dabbled in the paint!!! You’re a great artist ❤️ Love this jellyfish ❤️❤️❤️

Just getting into this hobby.. Been watching a lot of videos and this one is amazing! Great information and examples. And the result! Wow!
Thank you Bryan!
I just happened to come across this video. The white looked like silver at first. It looks very pretty on black. Good job!
Thanks Roxi! 😊
A girl after my own heart....no concrete measuring or anything...JUST GO WITH THE FLOW!!

GREAT ! Thanks for sharing!
Si nice to see the path of your mind and how you manage a mistake with such a cool way
Thank you Vap! So glad you enjoyed it!

Great job! I love the jellyfish. I can’t wait to try it myself
Thank you Brandy! Happy painting! 😁
“Taping it ? Does that show my age?” Lol 😂 that made me giggle 🤭
Hahaha! Right?! So funny how far technology has come in our lifetime! Thank you so much for watching Stephanie!
Fun to watch. Keep making more videos!
Great flowing & luminescent Jelly Fish! Can't wait to try it.
So happy to provide the inspiration Cathy! Happy painting, ....and thanks for watching!
I LOVE YOUR WORK AND I THINK I MIGHT ATTEMPT THIS. IT IS SO UNUSUAL AND BRILLIANT THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
Thank you so much Kelcia! Please yes! Try it! It might take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but just keep playing with it. You'll get it! 💕 Have fun!
This is so beautiful.. I will try this 😍 but how to keep a tile i don't have resin is there anything else which helps to keep the paint on tile
Nothing that I am aware of. You could try this on canvas as well.
Audio is fine in my tablet, I think it all depends on what kind of device you are listening too. Great video, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for watching Osiris! 😁
great tutorial on Jelly fish.... just what I was looking for, thank you for sharing
I’m really happy you enjoyed it Marcia! I know the scraping part may have been a bit much...but I swear I got good results that way in the past. LOL Thank you for watching!
Love this technique! Clever! Perfect jelly fish!
Thanks again Kathryn!
Just checked your channel, you've got another subscriber!

Me gusta mucho la pintura
You did amazing thank you for sharing your art 🐼💕
Beautiful! Thank you!! Great/different technique, nice composition...congratulations!💙💙

I really like the tile idea too

You have done a great job .i really would like to see you do one on a canvas
Hi Sandra ....and thanks for watching! I have a video where I do FOUR jellyfish on a canvas... check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html
I really loved your jellyfish I am hoping to see a lot more ideas from you and am going to attempt this today have a nice 4th of JUly
Thank you @Elvishmyst! Good luck today, would love to see how it turns out! :)
watching your video I was curious about painting on a tile. It looked like marble. Was it linoleum or stone. Very interesting.
Hi Denise, the tile was clay I believe. Possibly stone. But definitely not linoleum.
Loved this. Try to get some medical tubing, it's much easier to use than a straw and you have loads more control.
Thanks for the tip Alison, and thanks for watching!
Just saw this! Wow! That was great! You got a new subscriber! Sooo cool!
Hi Carol! So glad you liked it! Thanks for subscribing!!! :)
Very nice. Try using those micro brushes. I heard you just fine. Oh and a turn table helps a lot!! Lol
Micro brushes? I'll have to check em out! I'm glad you could hear it ok. Weird that a handful of people had issues with the volume. ??
Anyway, thank you so much for watching and commenting!
It turned out beautifully! Love it!
Thanks for watching Cathy! I'll be releasing a new video in a few days about how you can enter the art giveaway I'll be having in August, where you can win this jellyfish painting!
From Australia & living not far from the Great Barrier Reef just beautiful well done
Shirley Lollo, thank you!
Great video. You have alot of useful information to share.
Thanks Edina! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice! Just subscribed to your channel. Love this stuff...How long does it take to dry on the marble?
Hi Helena! It varies depending on room temp and humidity. But is comparable to a pours drying on canvas. Usually 24-48 hours.
Thanks!! :)
...what is the serrated tool you use to spread your paint...??? it seems to work like a dream, better than my icing smoother
Hi Rita. It's a resin spreading tool from ArtResin.com 😊
@@VoxxArts thank you...i will look that up
This is Gorgeous
Thank you Tam! 😊
I really enjoyed this video. I have a suggestion; I'm trying to be helpful, not critical, so please don't take this as a criticism. I get what you are saying but to me it seems like she is talking out loud to herself trying to figure out how to get to the place she wanted to.
Fabulous! You could market it to aquarium gift shops !
Thanks for watching Pam 😊
I agree, you have a market.
Beautiful..thanks for sharing👍😊
That absolutely beautiful
I absolutely love this.
Ahhh...Love that you love it!!! Thanks for watching my channel Kathy!
Beautiful!
what do you call the small board your using and where did you get it?
It's a 9" x 12" tile from Lowes. There are many sizes to choose from, and they are really cheap. Takes a little work to hang them... but here is a video of how I do it: ua-cam.com/video/6UynP-rZksc/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching Monica!
Great result!
Thanks Paula!
Thanks. ...lovely result.
I REALLY LUUUUV THIS !!!
Thank you so much for watching!
Hi, I find working on a turntable helps when blowing/finding a good direction for the paint to flow. 👵🏻
Thanks for the suggestion! 😁
This turned out incredible! You were very hard to hear, but I liked listening to you. Don't be afraid to speak up. Your voice is automatically at a disadvantage when you face away from the camera/microphone. :) This was a really good video, and I'm happy to subscribe.

Love your jelly fish, do another one
Haha! Thank you Marta! I may do another one soon. 😉
WoW kiss from Argentina! 😍😘
Thank you for watching Alejandra! 😘
Hi: loved this so much. You mentioned that you use a resin to preserve your work. Would you mind sharing what you use? Thank you!
Hi Sara! I use Art Resin. I buy it directly from their website. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
so beautiful!
Thanks☺
Thank you! 😁
I absolutely love it! I just wish I could hear you better.
Apologies Racquel, I think I've fixed that issue in future videos. Thanks for watching!
how about priming it first with tile primer so the paint will adhere better
I didn't even know there was such a thing! 😄
Beautiful
Thanks for watching John!
Cool
Bonjour😀 Voxx Arts.
Très très beau travail d'artiste, merci pour le partage.......
SUBLIME😉😉
CAT 🐱(de France 🇫🇷)
Je vous remercie Cat! ❣
Hi, just curious do you sand the tiles before?
No, I don't sand them. But they have to be coated in resin after, to preserve them, otherwise the paint will scratch or peel off very easily. I intend to post a video of the finishing process in the near future. 😁
Voxx Arts thanks!
Have you used gesso before painting? It's my understanding that gesso helps to make the paint stick. Not sure if/or how well it works, but that's what I've read.
I use gesso when I paint on wood, but not on tiles. You can't layer wet on dry on a tile, the dry under coat will crinkle under the wet layer.
wow fine art
You R real artitist
Thank you Mirza!
it's very nice I can see lion face in it
Top notch
Thank you!
What is the tile you are using?
Just a ceramic tile from Lowes. 😁
Beautiful. ... no silicone added to the paints?
Nope. Just paint, water and floetrol. 😁
Awesome! 😍
Wow ! I’m a new subscriber !
Hi lorlyn Mathews! Welcome and thanks for watching!
i love this jelly fish
Thank You Susan! I am giving this painting away in a drawing next month. I discuss it in my latest video (#7) and next week will announce how to enter!
Awesome
Thanks for watching Ronnette!
Very cool thanks for sharing.
Neely Witham, you are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Nee Witham
I think you got a more 3-D effect after the finger smudge. So it was a happy accident!
Haha! Those are the best kind! Thanks for watching Donna!
Wow....❣️👏👏
Thank you Margitta! 🙂
nice
Thanks Lisa! 😊
Nice work but wish I could have heard you
Apologies Janice. This was my first video, and I've since changed the way I recorded the audio. Please try my other jellyfish video here: ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html
And thank you so much for watching and for the feedback!
Love the outcome, but the scraping on tile had me only watch, I could not listen. Awesome job though!
I totally agree KJ. This was my very first youtube video, and I had no idea how annoying that would be. You might prefer this new updated jellyfish video instead! Thanks for watching! 💕 ua-cam.com/video/fYJOnT4SEro/v-deo.html
Loved your work but couldn't hear you 🙉
Hi Shelley, someone else mentioned that too. I've tried to fix that in my other videos. This was the very first one I did. Hopefully, the others come out better. Glad you liked the work, and thanks for watching. I will try to get another jellyfish one up in the future!
you need to speak up. I cannot hear you very well. Really enjoy your work. thank you
Thanks for the input Roxanne, I will work on that. And thanks for watching! 😊
I got to hear everything very Well and my ears are not good SO .... Thank you! It is beautiful
I couldn't hear it either sorry
Such a way to ask! Rude
Roxanne R turning up the volume a little bit works perfectly okay 😊 can hear her fine
This is great, but the sound of your tools scraping the tile is like nails on a chalkboard! 🤪
Anyone else think there was a spot that would not take 😂😂
Yes, I wondered about that too. So I decided it is the sun coming through the water and striking the jellyfish.
It’s the above light reflecting on paint 😆
I cannot hear you very well.
Apologies Elizabeth. This was my first video, and I have since fixed the issue. I will be creating another, better, jellyfish video in the near future.
Thanks so much for watching!
😍👍👏👏👏🌹🇷🇺
H
Hi Elizabeth! 😁
You need to speak louder
Hi Carol Bushey. The sound is fine on my all of my devices. I have had plenty of other people complain, and many others say it's fine. I just think some devices pick up the background noise more. Best advice I have is to try headphones with your particular device. I have changed the way I record in all other videos. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
That is awesome, but you jabber too much
Too bad about the audio. Please re view before posting.
Hi Sandy Riddle-Weekes! The sound is fine on my all of my devices. I have had plenty of other people complain, and many others say it's fine.
