    Really enjoying the 360 camera. Adds a lot of dimension every once in a while to your videos. My family loves watching these videos. And you’ve inspired us to take up the sport of PWC fishing ourselves.

    Hey Andrew, great video mate and even better catches, Snapper was still the best 😉😉
    Question, how do you get that range on the ski though? I run a FishPro Sport and can’t run that far, do you have an auxiliary tank??

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  4 місяці тому

      @@matthewmcadie8967 I was wrapped with landing that big Snapper! On a nice day, you should be able to get 160 plus kilometres out of it, I have had up to 178km out of the main tank. I don’t use eco mode and I normally cruise at just over 65kph on those long range trips…
      I haven’t needed extra fuel yet on these outwide missions, if it gets really rough it will change the fuel economy greatly…

      @@jetskifishing thanks Andrew, it will purely be a conditions issue for me then, haven’t been able to comfortably cruise at those speeds ever. Most I’ve been able to do comfortably is around 45kph

    Can you share a bit about how you plan and manage fuel for these big trips?

    • @jetskifishing
      @jetskifishing  3 місяці тому

      @@chubbs3031 the first thing I do is always have a full tank of gas before my trips. Personally, while getting a better understanding of fuel consumption in certain conditions, I will also have the additional fuel caddy on board that connects to the LinQ attachments on the rear deck. Prior to the trips on the water I also plan the destination mileage by plotting the route on the Navionics App, this way I have a rough idea of distance… for peace of mind I also have the range distance for fuel displayed on the dash of the FISHPRO, this way I can always have enough fuel to get home from my on water destination. A good rule of thumb for any adventure while getting an understanding of fuel capabilities is to allow 1/3 of tank to your furtherest destination, 1/3 to return and the balance for unforeseens or hunting fish. I’ve been enjoying Jetskifishing for 17 years and these practices have worked well for me to date, hope that helps you too…
