I had to put a comment in here because i see so many people putting their height in the comment when asking about what board size they should get...and having the narrator talking about height doesn't help either. It's your weight. The board doesn't care how tall you are (or what colour you outfit is for that matter) it's about gravity and the force you put on the board when moving or standing still. The most important is your weight, then your boots size and then finally your skill level (be truthful) and what you want to do.
@lori6931 you don't ride naked do you? Regardless if you do or not; it doesn't matter too much. An extra 10lbs of gear won't affect the board feel and handling
I think it does, my weight, 74kg suggests a 152, im only 5’4 and with that size board i cant get the stance width narrow enough, a 152 comes up above my nose. Have tried a 147, stance width 19 inch and its loads more natural, so in my case at least, size matters😂
@@johntomlinson7389my buddy who’s about your height but probably 40% heavier rides a comically large board and since he’s new to the sport he sucks, but I can’t tell if he sucks because it’s his second year or his body shape and board don’t match. Def a mix of both but idk what to recommend to him LOL
I’m 5’10” and weigh about 130lbs all the charts my height is with a much larger weight so I don’t know if I should go in the middle or closer to either height or weight, I’m a beginner so I’m guessing weight since that would be shorter but i’d love some advice!
Hi, I weigh 114 pounds and my boot size is 11. I´m 160 cm tall and I can´t find a board which is the right lenght and wide enough for my boot size. Can somebody help me. Sorry for the bad english.
Hi! I am 5’11 and 138 lbs with women’s foot size 10-11. I currently use a Lamar Jibstick 160 cm, which is definitely harder to turn for me as it’s technically a men’s and such a big board. I’m looking into getting something for the groomed slopes and I’m probably a low intermediate level. Any recommendations? I ride with my left foot forward.
Hey there, since you are light for your height, you can definitely get away with sizing down. This will make the board easier to turn. Likewise, softer boards with rocker will be more forgiving. Hi! I'm looking for a snowboard to buy and I'm finding very difficult to find more than 26cm waist width, and my boots measure 31cm. Would that be a problem? Thanks.
I’m 6 ft and 275 pounds what would u recommend for me I’m also a beginner but I wanna get into freestyle so I was wondering what size board I should get
I’m 6’3”, 255lbs and love my Gnu Essential Service 164 Wide. I’d recommend nothing shorter than a 164, and a wide width of you are size 11-12 or bigger. Lotta guys love the Lib Tech Stump Ape. Hope this helps!
This is so… not really confusing, I’d say it’s more stressful then anything. I’m short, 160cm/5’’3. But I am quite overweight, (I hope snowboarding will help with that) around 80kg/176 pounds. So choosing a board is very difficult for me. If I ware to buy a snowboard within my weight range, it would tower over me. I just got a 151 board second hand, do you think it’ll work for me? I mean it has too for the time being, but do you have any advice for a future purchase?
@@rickyjamer9787 unfortunately I haven’t tried it yet :// I’ll come back to answer when I do! But that might be a while, it’s been difficult to get to the hills lately.
I just recently bought a 159cm arbor camber board. I’m 5”11 and weigh 158 pounds. Should I exchange for a 156cm or would I be fine with 159? I’m just under intermediates riding level
Either length will be good for you The 156 might be a little bit easier in the short term, but if your skills are progressing, the 159 will be nice in the long term. Regardless, 159 is definitely not out of the question for someone your size.
Hi, I'm between 5'9/5'10. I weigh between 170-172 lbs. I'm looking at choosing a Capita board but unsure of the size? I am a beginner and havent rode since I was a teen, almost 15 years! To put that in perspective my first snowboard was a 143! :D

Hey I’m becoming a more skilled rider and am getting rid of my cracked 158 burton custom. I’m 6 foot and 135 pounds and was thinking a capita doa 154 or the 155 wide is this the right idea?
