I've found my new hero - Denise Biellmann! Thanks for posting this! In this time of quarantine, I'm re-visiting people I once loved to watch. I skated as a child, then again as an adult, and a few years ago stopped because of finances. I recently bought new skates (really nice ones) and intended to go back to it, although that won't be possible for a few months more. I'm the same age as Denise, and decided I would do programs with nice edges, good spins and a split jump, all of which I believe (with some re-training), I'll still be able to do. She gives me someone to look up to, especially in a world where skaters are now doing 3-axel jumps and 4-salchows (and the skaters are the age of my car -- old for a car; young for a person). Sorry I can't speak German (I think this is German), but again, thanks for the video and the inspiration. Now, please let the world go back to normal, with everyone healthy and happy. And let us get back to skating and all the past-times we loved!
From the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid I had two favorite skaters: Robin Cousins (who won gold) and Denise Biellmann (aged 17 who won the long program and ended on place 4). Until now only Alexei Yagudin convinced me! Thanks to Denise Biellmann (and later Stéphane Lambiel) "Art on Ice" could ask all stars they liked to have on the show. Robin (later Alexei) and Denise really show art how they skate. They could even only skate and I prefer watching them skate than any other skater. (Well there are also Torvill & Dean and Anissina & Peizerat - but that's it basically)

Two split jumps and four spins. Denise Biellmann always had superb jumps but none in that performance. Really disappointing 😞
