It gives me great comfort to see that there are still factories where products are manufactured by hand, without machines that do it all by themselves, nor do they import low-quality products from Asia, craft products made to last a lifetime. A cordial greeting from Spain, a really interesting video.
Well filmed, Jon. That lady doing the sewing is one highly skilled person. Have you ever asked them how, as well as how often, they sharpen those leather stamping cutters?
It's good too see there still around I've got a pair of there gloves. Got them in the 1980 still going strong.. can't remember there cost. I'm going to order a new pair..
Sr Jon Peters siempre veo sus videos, a veces hago un poco de carpinteria inspirado en su manera de trabajar la madera. Le mando saludos desde Córdoba, Veracruz ,Mexico
Nice quality gloves and not some cheap import from Asia! At $100 a pair they are a it costly but if they shipped to the UK I would certainly consider buying a pair as I am sure they are worth the money and will last for ages.
Wicked video & the gloves look wicked too. Q. What surface is under the leather pattern blank cutter, it must take some pounding from the repeated stamping - but not blunt the cutter?
Sounded like that one sewing machine was pneumatic! I have done auto upholstery for quite some time. Those machines looked pretty high quality! Thanks for sharing! 😇😎
Do they make them with the seam on the inside (ie: the gloves are stitched and then flipped inside out), but with the grain on the correct side when fliiped?
I'm glad to see Made In America, but if those ladies are making a decent wage and with other cost of goods and overhead, they must be fairly expensive. It's low tech so volume isn't great either. However, these are quality treasured gloves, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
It is kind of funny, but as I was watching I was working on a sewing project. (Putting a flounce on a denim shirtwaist.) Their sewing machines sound like they have so kind of compression to get through the leather.
I had a walking foot for working on heavy leather - however the foot was unable to lift that high!!! I believe the compressed air is to assist the foot being lifted ??? I could be wrong. Nice calm controlled machinist skills and fly press
As a native Southern Californian, i have never heard of these before bc i never need gloves-- but now i know what to buy if i ever move to a cold climate
I grew up in a smallish town here in Australia and I was used to the local shop owners who knew you and your family. That sort of feel to the community has gone nowadays and is replaced with everything on demand, always in a hurry, it just feels as though you are in so much of a hurry to go nowhere ? We did everything on pushbikes [bicycles] as kids, we must have put thousands of miles on the clock, healthy as well as a means of getting around. I don't think that everything was better in the "old days", but, some things definitely were ?

From what I've seen, products that are sewn together are done by hand. But yes, very satisfying seeing care put into the product.
These are literally all machine made, are you high?
Love the small town family owned. Business. Contulinued success for many more decades. Quality product all Anerican made PRICELESS !!!

Cool video, Jon! I love these how-it’s-made type videos, especially of good old fashioned hand-made American products. Very cool! 👍🏼
Great interesting video, they look a really good quality glove, it's nice to see different things like this from time to time.

Thei make great gloves! I know because I own a pair. Great company.............
Awesome work!!

It is a clicker cutting board, usually made of polypropylene, with a Shore Hardness of about 78.
It's plastic. The cutting dies do dull over time. Plastic will dull a die faster than wood surprisingly.
Great Produkt!!! Great People!!!
Gloves for a lifetime !!!
