Thank you. So in order to turn the column through 90 degrees (because my steering wheel is in the wrong position), I can undo the clamp , lift, turn and replace?

Yes. Undo the clamp, lift the steering column up off the spline and reposition with steering wheel lined up with the wheels. Torque the clamp bolt to 13 lbf ft (Haynes workshop manual).
