One great tip using UV resin, the brush will last forever….relatively speaking, place the brush in aluminum foil. It protects it even from window light. I always make sure there is a barrier (cardboard tent sideways) between items you don’t want UV to cure until you are ready. Love how you are expanding your business!!!! Well done.
Fabulous tip, I will most definitely try this thank you, that will save a lot of effort. I know a lot of people use silicone sticks but I really love the flow and feel of a brush, so a big thank you. The cardboard tent is also a fab tip and I tend to try and put something between the different stages when doing a bit of a production line, fab, have a wonderful weekend ❤

Those are all very cute. About the metal fasteners and uv resin, unless the base of those pin posts is transparent, you run the risk of the resin not curing because the uv light can’t reach it underneath. Same with the eye hooks. I suggest using superglue for the parts that are embedded or where light can’t penetrate and then resin overtop as you did. Also, you can devote a brush to uv resin and just wrap it in a little foil to keep it out of the light. The resin won’t dry or cure and the brush will always be ready to go.
Thank you for your insight. About a year ago I tried adding the pins in this way for the first time and that was also my concern but I never had any issues with it so carried on and so felt confident enough to show on here how I do this, anyone else concerned then yes great idea to super glue the backs on first, leave to dry overnight and then resin over the back of the pin like I did there. If anyone else has any experience of problems adding pins or eyelets in this way please do comment here, we all have lots of tips to offer and it’s great to share and learn from each other. Thank you Randy, have a great weekend 😊
Another big advantage of DAS air dry clay is it is much easier to work with if you have issues with your hands, like arthritis. Polymer clay can be difficult with these issues. And for jewelry, the air dry clay is lightweight. I use DAS for making Christmas ornaments for that same reason.
Most definitely, a friend was asking the other day what i would recommend for a kids club as she was about to buy polymer clay, but she got air dry clay after I let her know how hard polymer clay can be. Have you tried the DAS wood (here: ua-cam.com/video/0FiVA2KKkhU/v-deo.html) it's lighter for jewellery and I hope to make more soon with this ❤ Thank you
Hi I am trying to make items for a Christmas Craft fayre that my family want me to attend. I am a card & scrapbooker normally so I am making small scrapbooks to sell. I have made fridge magnets in the past to put on cards but now after watching your channel for so long I am branching out all thanks to you. I appreciate that you are using PPE I think I would also recommend getting glasses to wear for when your curing light is turned on. Can't be too careful! Of course they're not near the same strength as UV lights used for sterilization or those lights that injured the eyes of Bored Yacht Club party attendees lol.
Wow, stunning, I definately think your pieces are worthy of going into your online store and your printed 3D cutters. This was such a lovely video showing us how to use airdry clay. I always wondered if it cracks. I have a pack but haven't used it yet. Thank you for sharing, it means alot. You are so talented and all your pieces are beautiful. 💖💜
This was so much fun. I love each one of these. I'd love to try to make a necklace for my little granddaughters. There is no limit to all the animals and things you can make like that. Great video.
Your drawings are the sweetest! I like your technique of adding UV resin to the backs to attach the pins. A durable adhesive popular here in the US and used by many jewelry crafters is E6000. TFS!
Beautiful both items made and the video. These delightful little creatures will sell out in your shop. They each hold their own little story have their own voice. Unique no two the same. Look forward to watching more of your beautiful work. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤

Yes if you’re concerned about the internal resin then a strong glue would be better, thank you for adding this, the pieces made in this video and still sealed and fine no problem ❤️🌼🦊
I don't have uv resin and lamp. Do you think some (any strong recommended?) glue and then water varnish (I use Pentart) will do the job for pins or eye hooks too?
Hello Sarah, a new subscriber here and I'm absolutely loving your delightful channel. Thank you for sharing your awesome and creative talent with such a pleasing voiceover. Really love your work and looking forward to more.
Adorable as always🥰! Do you recommend anything to seal other than resin? I just can't use anything as toxic as resin in my home with my children, but can't find anyone talking about good alternatives. This is holding me back from making and selling designs. Any recommendations would be so greatly appreciated!😊
In my first pins video here ua-cam.com/video/QpoLhnAvA3w/v-deo.html I didn’t use resin but a spray lacquer and water based medium, worth experimenting to see what work for you, I know what you mean with the odours though, I don’t find the UV resin as bad as the varnishes in my opinion, best of luck 😊
What do I think? They are incredibly cute and I’m sure they will run out the store! Thank you for sharing your skills with us. I look forward to to having a go myself when I get my crafting mojo back. (It seems to have wandered off temporarily.)

I always enjoy your videos the way you talk and the way you respect your art and then you just share your art to us. So thank you. 2️⃣ questions pls if i may?! Thank you; • using coocie cutters first they need to be wet before cutting the clay? • drying in a smooth tile so not to have prints? So u use any rack os something, but it would have prints on it?? Blessed thank you 🇨🇾🇨🇾💚💚🌺🌺
You are so welcome, thank you. I don’t wet the cookie cutter, but maybe this could help? Yes I leave to dry on a smooth ceramic tile, anything similar non porous would work, and the turn over part way through drying, pressing down again. Happy crafting
Absolutely love them especially the fox. Just beautiful as a necklace too. I'm not good at freehand art but may try with stamps and dies to cut around the shape. Have u tried this at all, if not, do u think it could work. I love watching yr vlogs and have tried a few things which turned out lovely 😍
Hello, I have a question. Have you ever experienced with working air dry clay in cold conditions (winter). I live in a farm and one week we had almost -15. Though inside the house it was of course warmer. However my clay did not work well. It was hard. Then I was spraying water and massaging it for long time, but it kept drying out, breaking and cracking. So eventually I just stopped and waiting when it will get warmer. That was Craft Smart clay. Would appreciate your opinion.
Hi, when it’s colder out I find the drying time increases, but if yours is drying out with cracks, maybe it’s the central heating that’s contributing to this, best of luck
These are lovely! I just came across your channel and now I'm super inspired to get some DAS and get going. I'm just wondering... I've never used UV resin, but the other day, I found an old UV lamp I had for gel nails that I hardly used...could I use that for it? I just put it on FB marketplace to give away, but no one has yet wanted it, so maybe I will just delete it if I can use it to finish DAS projects this professionally!

Thank you, you can get size 0 00 and 000, I tend to get a pack of them any make that are not expensive and don’t worry if the bristles split and then swap it out, I’ve not felt the make matters too much, thanks
I think selling them on Etsy is a great idea. I have been successful selling there for the past 20 yrs with my handmade things. I'd love to purchase the cookie cutters you made on your 3D printer?????
Thanks. In my older video making pins I didn't use resin here: ua-cam.com/video/QpoLhnAvA3w/v-deo.html and these are my videos about varnishing: ua-cam.com/video/eDoqed_7SSs/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/z0dtdQFQ-wM/v-deo.html
Hi and thank you for sharing all this stuff with us… I follow you from Italy and I have an issue with my little work… I use natural air dry clay and I paint with acrilyc paints but when I glaze them the paint leaf away like a cuticle sometimes making bubbles on the surface… I don’t understand why 😢 Hope my english is understandable 😅 if not I write it again in italian…
Depends on the strength of the lamp but these I have 4-5 mins on each side just to be sure, good to then leave on the windowsill for a little too, thanks

Great tips with the foil, I will definitely be trying this thank you 😊
She also added a layer of UV resin to the back piece which cures around the pins which will secure them under the lamp.

They are adorable, I would definitely buy these😄👍
Thank you 🤗
What do I think? They are incredibly cute and I’m sure they will run out the store! Thank you for sharing your skills with us. I look forward to to having a go myself when I get my crafting mojo back. (It seems to have wandered off temporarily.)
thank you Shery, the mojo goes sometimes, I have a creativity video that gives a few easy ideas for this : ua-cam.com/video/joiKAqjt0lY/v-deo.html

Adorable ❤ Yes they'll sell like hot cakes x
Amazing, thank you, ❤ have a lovely weekend

Adorable..i love them ❤️😻😊
Thanks Cheryl, they’re great fun to make 🦊😊
Absolutely love them especially the fox. Just beautiful as a necklace too. I'm not good at freehand art but may try with stamps and dies to cut around the shape. Have u tried this at all, if not, do u think it could work. I love watching yr vlogs and have tried a few things which turned out lovely 😍
Thank you kindly, yes stamps work well too and great fun, glad you enjoy watching, thanks ❤
Totally charming, ❤
Thank you ❤️
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
How do you make sure your clay pins etc are consistent in size? Do you use a clay level? What thickness do you recommend? Thanks , Naomi
Hi, mine are about 6/7mm and you can use a piece of wood/chopsticks/pencils either side of the clay to roll over to get the desired uniform thickness
Super Cute
Thank you ☺️
Hello, I have a question.
Yes the nail lamp can be used….keep it for sure, enjoy your clay, thanks for watching ☺️
Super cute projects ❤
🦊 thank you 😊

Beautiful, would you recommend a certain brand for the fine detail brush.❤❤
Thank you, you can get size 0 00 and 000, I tend to get a pack of them any make that are not expensive and don’t worry if the bristles split and then swap it out, I’ve not felt the make matters too much, thanks
I think selling them on Etsy is a great idea. I have been successful selling there for the past 20 yrs with my handmade things. I'd love to purchase the cookie cutters you made on your 3D printer?????
Super, I have put them on my website, links in video description, to cutters and foxes 🦊☺️ thank you
Lovely!
Thank you 😊🦊
Where do you found the oven?

Can you use anthing else instead of resin to gloss and harden these little creatures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. In my older video making pins I didn't use resin here: ua-cam.com/video/QpoLhnAvA3w/v-deo.html and these are my videos about varnishing: ua-cam.com/video/eDoqed_7SSs/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/z0dtdQFQ-wM/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for this information. Love your channel. @@RedRockingBird
How much time do you put in the UV lamp? Thank you
Depends on the strength of the lamp but these I have 4-5 mins on each side just to be sure, good to then leave on the windowsill for a little too, thanks
