Another good video. Thanks. One feature I've been using more and more in Apple Mail is the "Remind Me" button. Right-click on an email in your inbox and select "Remind Me". The message will be delivered to you later, at whatever delay you select. Very useful feature. Anyway, keep the vids coming!
Thank you. But that's interesting: I find Remind Me irritating and I've just realised why: because I keep my inbox very low or even empty, the original email is still in sight. Other Remind Me systems actually take it out of your inbox until the time you say and I think that's so much better. But if the original has slid down out of sight, I wonder now whether that's effectively the same thing. I may be too harsh on Remind Me.
@@WilliamGallagher You can move the email into any folder you want; i.e., take it out of your inbox while it's waiting to pop back into your inbox. I'm also an "inbox-zero" kind of user, and I hate seeing emails in my inbox. I try to follow the 5-D approach: Do It (if it takes less than a few minutes to do), Delete It (if I don't need it in the future), Delegate It (if I can pass it along to someone else to handle), Depot It (if I need it for future reference), or Defer It (if it's going to take time to deal with that I don't have available right now). By the end of each day, I want no emails in my inbox, so I apply these rules. For the "defer it" solution, I set the reminder, and then move it to an archive directory so I don't have to look it in my inbox. It will pop back up the next day or next week, depending on the Remind Me Later setting I choose.
