SELF MADE RUSTY RAMBO 2 KNIFE RESTORATION - BEST RESTORATION

I restored my self made Rambo 2 knife which I created 4 years ago. Since the blade was ready, I just had to refurbish it and make the handle. The process took 3 working days. I used matte rim paint for painting as this was the only one at home, but I think it was appropriate.

How is the weld on the guard and inside the handle holding up, usually that makes a stress point that breaks easily.

at that point the blade is not tempered, therefore it could not be as brittle. I didn't put it in water immediately after welding, but when it had cooled down enough.

The two holes in the hilt were part of a grappling system. The hole were drilled 45deg off of the centerline of the blade. These holes were threaded so that two spikes could be threaded into it (these were housed in a pocket on the sheath). The idea was that the knife would be kept in its sheath and removed from the belt. The sheath had a securing point around the tip of the sheath. The two spikes would be threaded into the hilt and a line tied off to the securing point on the sheath and it would be toss over or into what ever you would wanting the scale. And the spikes would secure the knife (grapel) on what ever you were wanting to pull yourself up on…

Con toda honestidad tu trabajo es de baja calidad, a comparación de otros artesanos, el hecho de usar pintura negra habla por si solo, dejar una espiga tan corta es pesimo y lo mas importante soldar un cuchillo despues de afilar hablabde tu poca experiencia en este oficio, no templaste, no te aseguraste que el acero este fuerte para usarlo en el campo o en una situación real, en general tubtrabajo necesita mucho mas experiencia.
