- So I decided to open up these speakers, in all the years of owning these (mid 90s) I've never opened these before.

iv had loads of aiwa stereos over my years people may think they are crap but they actually good stereos thumbs up from me
Aiwa was a much better company back in the day, but after the early 90s.. it was night night to Aiwa quality wise
Wide range. Pretty dynamic. Loud. But clarity wise a superb speaker especially the woofer if used both for bass and vocal.

I do have these Aiwa hifi set including the surround speakers and also the original subwoofer that it came with.
This speaker was part of one of the only "good" sets of speakers from aiwa. I have a smaller aiwa system from the same era. While the amp malfunctions, the speakers work pretty well on another amp
Really the 180s 5 way 120 watts are far more superior of a speaker it really is ✌️

I have aiwa at home just never listened anymore, no reason to keep it home. I think about throwing them into my car. I would just to make a different box. Anyone ever tried to find TS specs for aiwas?

So if I wanted to swap over the driver it would be a case of unscrewing the driver, snipping close to where its soldered and wola? Is it then completely free from the cabinet?

you could pull the tweeter cover by pulling the tweeter that is on the tweeter outwards, careful with the tweeter

Just got tose speakers for free the other day just need repair grill on one its of all little pice cilps actepct one broke off also got glue logo back on because moving around but not bad of 6 ohm it's better than my old 4 ohms sharp speakers

Two points. Iam spanish and listen you very easy . you have a good accent. Otherwise when the woofer was working it seem like it does not up And down at TVE same time along all the surface. It seem like a piece of gelatine trying to stop without control
