I Was Robbed in Brazil | Belo Horizonte Nightlife

- Belo Horizonte has a lively bar and club scene to explore. The city is slow during week so I stepped out on this day to get to know the city nightlife scene.
The Savassi and Lourdes neighborhoods in the center of the city offer popular streets known for their variety of bars and pubs. Here you can sample local beers and caipirinhas and enjoy the city's nightlife to the fullest. If you like dancing, Belo Horizonte also has numerous clubs where you can shake a leg to Brazilian music such as samba and forró.
Belo Horizonte is the capital city of southeastern Brazil’s Minas Gerais state. Surrounded by mountains, the city’s known for the vast Mineirão Stadium. Built in 1965, the stadium also houses the Brazilian Football Museum. Nearby are Lake Pampulha and the Pampulha Architectural Complex, home to the wavy-topped Church of St. Francis of Assisi, designed by Brazil’s modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer.

@Ivantunes Whoever said to you that there is almost nothing to do in Belo Horizonte he/she doesn't know what they are talking about. I am a belohorizontino man living in NYC and i have mor fun in Belo Horizonte the I have living in here. The person who took you there simoly didn't know where the gems are. Of course, Belo Horizonte is not as big as Rio and São Paulo, but having less foreigners visiting the city could be a plus.
Hey man.. I like your channel so please understand this is coming from a good place... you don't need to make fake headlines "being robbed" to get views. Your content is good enough without those tactics
Thanks for watching! I got robbed. My property was taken unlawfully from me. That’s the VERY definition of a robbery.
I agree. It insinuates that a criminal robbed you - a security guard confiscated your phone. These a very different things. You're making BH seem unsafe with your title. It's misleading and misrepresents a very beautiful and safe city. This is the first and last video of yours I'll watch.
Ii agree totally... Clickbait it is....
Click bait, you weren’t robbed 😂
I wouldn't call this just click bait. At the time this was happening he thought that he was getting robbed. I would have titled this video that too.
@@beaujac311well he recoded this after the incident, by then he had realised he wasn’t robbed, his phone was only confiscated (so the security guard ) could delete the footage!
@@toneneezBut did initially thought that his phone had been stolen. If he had not ran after the guy, he may not have gotten his phone back.
@beaujac311 So he could have captioned the video”I thought I was robbed”
@@toneneez Yes, he could have done that too.
I'm glad you got your phone back.Your situation ended up being more complex than the video title suggested. Having once worked as a bouncer in a very popular Boston nightclub, I can partially understand why the security guy snatched your camera. I do not condone it but I can see how it happened. In the heat of the moment, there was no way for him to know that you were not a friend of the troublemaker. He had most likely seen you and him chatting and joking together in the club, earlier on. So I can see how he could assume that you were part of the "problem." This experience might help you in the future. If a similar situation happens again, don't let the excitement of getting good footage, even though we appreciate it, blind you to possible dangers, like getting mistaken for being in cahoots with the culprit! Your wellbeing comes first. Finally, I still prefer the slower pace of a Belo Horizonte over the fast bustle of a Rio. While I love to have a fun time, my wild partying days are really behind me. Chatting with a professor or grad student from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in a coffee shop, is more of my style (they even have African students at the university, I've heard). For me, a place like Belo is a good base to use in exploring other parts of the country. That's just me. Anyway, thanks for sharing and stay safe! 😀
im not going to lie that's what you get for being noisy and not watching your back and environment. 😂
So you wasn’t robbed they just took your camera temporarily to erase unwanted video footage?
Hey bro! Thanks for tuning in my channel. They only gave me my phone because of the hell we were raising there. I’m pretty sure they weren’t going to look for me to give me the phone back if I didn’t chase the jerk who took it. Yes, the end result is that.
Taking someone’s property without permission is theft…
I get it brother we will catch up again peace
Normally I like your content...but this was not good in my opinion.
@@cigartalk6420 I create what I experience. You don’t have to like everything I create. Have a good evening!
Basically, you were no robbed, nor assaulted. The security guard taken out your phone to delete the footages, because that bastard boy was threaten them (he said "I will stay here outside until you leave to kill you. You don't know me. I will call my daddy") He was probably just bragging around, but you can't take any chances. And you were in the same group than he.
I understand, you need more views, but be honest about what really happened to you.
The definition of robbery is taking someone’s property with no authorization. You don’t have to agree with my wording. I’m sure if you went through this you wouldn’t just say “he took my phone to delete footage” . That’s double robbery. We can agree to disagree. Thanks for watching !
@@IvainTures Actually not. I understant it was an extreme attempt to protect the security guard, since your footage could prejudice him in many ways, since as mentioned in the video the boy's father is an attorney, and he was calling his daddy saying: "This black guy hit me". And you was friend with that rich boy that night.
I'm pretty sure you can understand the situation now.
Calling that guard a thief, doesn't make you much better from that scumbag.
If it was a robbery, you'ld never get your phone back.
@@mtulio6422 I love your videos and you ivain but i think Mtulio is right. I think you have too much fun filming the fighting with that little guy screaming. I don t like to see it, i want to see happy people, not a small kid thinks he is Pablo Escobar
Very nice video, Ivain. That was some story, brother. I'm really glad you're safe and you got your phone back. At least you still had enough of the club scenes to show us. Thank you for your sharing your experience. I enjoyed watching your video 👍👍👍..
I appreciate that! Thanks so much for watching!
Go to Fortaleza Brazil next time better Footage in that city in my opinion
Ok sounds good ! I’ll check it out. Thanks bro
Ivain my interest in this video was in how the white guy was using the n-word. It sounded as if had no effect on those security guards whatsoever. They knew that little guy was only a p.unk. Dude wasting all that energy. They were more concerned with you.
Very true! Using that word in the US would have had a totally different effect. 😂
Totally different..he would have had,a very bad day!😂
@@IvainTures He said "Negão" (Big black/big negro) which is actually how friends will call each other. In this context here, It is actually not seen as an insult that is why the security guy wasn't that upset.
Is that what passes for white down there? He looked Hispanic/Middle Eastern.
@marekcracovia4061 He could pass for South Asian (Pakistani or Punjabi), or Amerindian. Calling him white seems a bit inaccurate if you're from Canada, or the United States.
That’s still a good look! Not everyone is looking for working girls and partying like you 21 however you mite not feel invited if you’re black
Sorry for your deplorable diabolical heist Ivan. To have your phone stolen in Brazil was traumatic. Thanks immensely for your transparentcy/ candor. Louis😊
Thanks for watching!
I like your video´s but i think you have too much fun filming that short 5 feet 1 guy screaming like he is Pablo Escobar.
I think the security guard did the right thing for taking your phone, he was thinking you was part of that little kid screaming like a idiota.
Please film happy people and beautiful things, i don t want to see a fight or screaming people.
I don t like fighting, only UFC or Boxing but not outside
No one goes to that shit city 😂😂
He got into the middle of the mess on purpose to have content and he was not robbed LOL BH is always competing for the title of best city in BR! Shit comes out of your mouth!
Bro, you have to go to Ouro Preto. It's so beautiful. Also there is a nice cave in Sete Lagoas.
Take of yourself.
The worst thing about Belo Horizonte is its private security guards! Tourists need to know this! LOL The South Zone is like an Aparyheid region with many European descendants and black residents don't go there. There are many bars and night clubs open from Monday to Sunday.Come back in the summer to visit the dozens of waterfalls on the outskirts of BH!
Now what happened to that little gangster????
He just went home and nothing happened 😂
Don't feel sorry for you bro.... you guys are really annoying with your cameras and constant looking for attention just like these tiktok pranksters...
Ivan, you should know better with all your experience of being in Brazil and Latin America. There's a fine line between creating juicy content and interfering which in most cases can be extremely dangerous - even fatal! Luckily, the outcome was a positive one, but please be alert to things, you're a good guy with great content; keep up the good work.
You are totally right. Things can change quickly here. Thanks a lot for watching!
One thing we definitely know every woman on the planet speaks one universal language (Twerking)
🥲🥲🥲🥲🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅
Can you take your glasses off when you’re talking with us from indoors please you remind me of someone else thanks 🙏
Sometimes Ivain it's not always wise to film everything!!! This could have been a shootout and by you standing there filming that could have ended up being a bad thing!!! you don't know this guy and who he is calling...he could have been calling his home boys and they could have weapons...that's not too smart...every video is not always a good thing to have..your life is more important
I agree! I shouldn’t have been there!
Another global lick spot for Passport bros.
God bless you, brother be safe 🙏
I appreciate that
You come to Belo Horizonte just once, for a few days, and you already think you have the right to belittle the city? You got angry because you were treated badly by the nightclub security guards and decided to denigrate the city? You have no idea what goes on here! There are parties and nightlife all year round! You should know that Belo Horizonte is the third largest metropolis in Brazil, with almost 6 million inhabitants! It has an extensive annual calendar of events! Anyone who tells you otherwise is either misinformed or acting in bad faith!
Thanks for watching! I didn’t insult the city at all. It’s simply my opinion based on my time there. I didn’t see everything but it is slow compared to other places in Brazil i have visited. It’s not a bad thing but It is slow. And you know it😂
I’m sorry I’m just being honest.
Also, not by size or by population is it number 3. You are misinformed.
The most populated cities in Brazil are:
1. **São Paulo** - 12.3 million
2. **Rio de Janeiro** - 6.7 million
3. **Brasília** - 3.1 million
4. **Salvador** - 2.9 million
5. **Fortaleza** - 2.7 million
6. **Belo Horizonte** - 2.5 million
7. **Manaus** - 2.2 million
8. **Curitiba** - 1.9 million
9. **Recife** - 1.7 million
10. **Porto Alegre** - 1.5 million
And by size it doesn’t even come up on the top 5. Thanks for watching
@@IvainTures I'm sorry, but you're still misinformed:
Perhaps you're not familiar with the concept of "metropolitan region" in Brazil. I said that the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte is the third largest in Brazil. You can confirm this by examining the data from the "IBGE" population census!
Due to the depletion of its territorial area and high taxes, part of the population migrated to the metropolitan region, causing it to lose its position as the third largest capital in terms of population. However, as already mentioned, it is still, by far, the third largest metropolitan region in Brazil, with approximately 6 million inhabitants, a determining factor in market logistics for investments.
A great way for those who want to get to know the real size of the city is to watch footage taken by drones, where you can easily see that, among all the capitals in Brazil, Belo Horizonte is also the third largest in vertical density.
Travelling to countries repeatedly and not learning the language. 🤯
Portuguese is hard. I’m currently learning Spanish. I don’t have the bandwidth to add Portuguese too at this time.
@@IvainTures i thought spanish and portugese were similar
I'm glad you're ok keep safe
If you have a cloud subscription ,, all your files are backed up…deleted or not.

@@jonbatista9562are pardos not considered black in brazil? i always hear this talk about how brazil is the blackest country outside africa
The South Zone of BH is the "Apartheid" region of that city and black people don't go there. It is full of European descendants.
