I also got into the beta and I was so blown away by how smooth it was. Very excited!
Very happy we finally got this. Makes it feel almost like a new experience.
I just signed up for it today, any clue when can I expect to get the email if I do get in? I'd love to be able to play on my computer because it can be more convenient than on my phone sometimes
The mod inventory feel SO MUCH better on the PC client too! All PC player need this ASAP.

It is crazy, even watching this video it really does not do it justice through the recording how smooth everything looks and feels.
When I saw that I had access, one of the first things I did was to replay some of the legendary/gl event tiers (more specifically JKR and GL Rey), and they looked absolutely incredible at 60fps. I'm happy to be able to say that this is the best that the game has ever looked

Looks very clean and crisp, as you said. I do hope they make adjustments to the UI, but I think that might be a thing they *won't* do because this isn't a port, but rather a different kind of emulator.
To have adjusted UI based on resolution, they'd have to have custom resolution settings created for each one which is a hell lot of work, where when it's emulated, it's emulating the phone resolution. I would assume the one running on their own emulator is the NATIVE (not squeezed down) version, which still has the Mobile proportions, just not compressed.

The keyboard binding is also amazing. It took awhile but after awhile I can do battles by tapping qwe or selecting enemies using num pad

I was lucky enough to get into the beta too and I really love how fluid it looks
My only complaints are 1) with the higher res the older models are waaaaaay too pixelated with their textures and 2.) The screen shaking whenever ships attack gives me eye ache

This is fantastic. I’m so excited to get in to the beta if I get selected. I have to give it to CG, things have been going relatively well recently. Nothing majorly bad. Keep it up, this is the most excited I’ve been in a while

Things are getting crazy in the galaxy
Just in case anyone else ran into the same problem, if it doesn't immediately show up you can go to you library in the EA app and it can be mixed in with other games if you have more than a few. I have a couple games through EA and SWGOH was hidden below them. So that's click Library at the top left of the app, scroll to where it says my games, hit the down arrow on the middle of the right side, and check through that. Hope this helps someone else!

The character selection screen should be 4 wide. There's plenty of real estate for that. That would help minimize scrolling.
Being able to see a difference to the game frame rate through a UA-cam uploaded video means that there has been some job done. It's weird but the difference is visible like holy moly.

Just at a first glance, this looks so much more efficient and engaging than on Bluestacks. I’ve been away from the game for a long time because I don’t like playing games on my phone anymore, I didn’t want to spend the time to grind F2P for things that others who had an account as old as mine, and I didn’t want to deal with Bluestacks for a game like this (FGO is a different story). Once it launches, I’ll definitely play it.
The loading times being so much shorter is awesome. My assumption for why they’re so long on Bluestacks though for you specifically, Ahnald, is because in this video you said the game was capped at 30 FPS, and I wonder if maybe you didn’t change your settings to allow for higher FPS or dedicate more cores to the game? I assume you have a very high-end PC and changing those settings worked wonders for the games I played on Bluestacks. I could definitely be wrong, and it could be the game just being trash on an emulator!
TBH seeing the DR lightsaber twirl is what sold it to me that this is going to be awesome.
Insanely better. I’d like to see some hotutils esque tools added to the PC version because I feel like their capabilities will be increased for this client over mobile
Honestly, this might bring me back from my hiatus. I left several months ago due to school and simply not using my phone as much. But having the option to have the game running in the background on the computer while doing other work definitely is appealing.

So great but got a couple gripes-
1. Windowed mode resolution is problematic
2. Clicking onto a different monitor will pause your game if in battle
3. Ship battles shake a little much

This genuinely looks great! I don't think it's that crazy to think that someone could be browsing the EA app and sees SWGOH and is initially fooled into thinking that this is some new small Star Wars game project if they aren't already aware of SWGOH. The game looks very similar to SW: The Old Republic in terms of graphics now. It's great!
My reaction was the exact same when I logged on l opened the game multiple times through out the stream today just to scroll through the menu is 60+ fps😂😂
This is why I'd like to play on my steam deck over phone. Looks so much better. Need to do more testing though.

Also, my PC is a literal toaster, and on BlueStacks the game runs at like 2 FPS, and with the new client it runs at a smooth 30+ FPS, meaning it is actually playable. Now they just need to include an option for account swapping.
As someone with multiple accounts, this would be good if you can easily switch accounts or have multiple instances to switch accounts. Looks good so far!

PSA: for the PC client if you don't see it right when you open the EA app, go to your library and it should be available to download. I never received a message ingame indicating that I was selected, but I opened the EA app and found it. Side note.... it looks SOOOOO smooth and I just love it :)
I sadly do not have PC client availability, but that might be from not playing for a month or more since I was just not having any more fun dealing with it on my phone. But the PC client will be very nice to have so I can play it while working on things.
Here's hoping it goes onto steam too!!

do you think its going to be possible to play it on a mac either in the current mac Origin app or in the new EA app thats replacing it soon? the forums post says that in order to access it you have to first download the EA app and then login with ea account credentials and then add the SWGOH app within the ea app
Now we need them to port this to the mobile version. No reason they couldn't add this and include a switch for devices needing lower quality

The new store is especially great, before, every day, just twisting my wrist to try and scroll to buy traya, then kenobi, then han solo. But now, more items are side by side and i dont need to abuse my wrist to find them

Graphics and controls are the biggest reasons I shy away from most mobile games... I'm juiced up for SWGOH coming to PC.

It's a shame, I was planning to join that forum for the pc version, but literally the day after you released your video about that my computer broke down. So now I gotta wait to get a new one, but hopefully by the time I get it the official version of the game should be released.

I would assume you aren't able to open both your main and alt accounts in the PC version at the same time since that would require 2 EAPlay accounts to be authenticated at the same time?
Pc client just needs GUI adjustment possibilities to be perfect, like to have a bigger character icon in the collection, and maybe reduce the size of the squad selection so we can have more characters to select at once
Some UI are a bit too small (look at character details), sometimes a bit awkward. It still needs a little adjustment, but overall, still a 10/10 experience

Considering MSF was able to do it, CG really also needs to make this happen on phones/tablets. Any device from the last 5 years (probably even further back really) will be able to handle it no problem.
You will have to update/ upgrade your recorder now for 4K stream and videos to match, we don’t get the full benefits from your monitor

Would be happy if they change the interface a bit more for the PC version. Different filtering and higher textures and better models for sure needed.
