Did this to my sink years ago, recommend using a manual foam cutting pad to get into the troughs. Not saying 'you missed a bit', i just had to as my disc was unreasonably huge.

so, it doesn't remove all scratches?? or does it, but you have to put more time into it? or does it only remove water stains?

Any scratch you can feel with your nail will not be removed with this particular kit. The polish will remove anything on the surface of the object.
