Hearing you talk about Jade really warms my heart. I know if she watches these one day, it will mean the world to her. My mom is someone who probably shouldn't have had kids. I don't think I want to have children. But hearing the joy and love in your voice makes me think about it, just a little bit. Jade is a lucky girl, and you're lucky to be her mom too I'm sure! I love how you're raising her to be a gentle and kind human.
Oh my gosh you mentioned mantids look at you, it reminded me I recently found a pretty small young mantis with his foreleg stuck in a really big ball of spider web and he was trying for a long time to cut himself free as I watched. I finally felt bad enough to want to help and got tweezers and got a good grip on the spider web and I swear the mantis looked up and me and got scared at first and then got calm and then we worked together and it pulled and chewed it’s little arm free. It just stared at me for a minute after that(I had never seen their little pupil dots before). I could not believe how intelligent it seemed!

The way you talked about parenthood was genuinely so beautiful. It really helps me to hear these happy positive stories because everything in life is hard but a lot of those hard things are also joyful and beautiful ❤️

I dont have children but a few of my friends do and being part of their lives is such a beautiful thing and hearing you talk about being a mom brought me to tears. I‘m a sobbing mess rn bc it really is such a beautiful thing to see someone grow up and discover the world and being a part of that, i wouldn’t wanna miss it. (But they dont need to be my own children)

I’m super focused on birds of prey right now but I’m currently starting a conservation program with reptiles and amphibians. And I LOVE amphibians. But I have what you’ve said in the back of my head always “stay broad” never know where conservation will bring you. And I’m so open to WHEREVER it brings me as long as I get to do it!

Oh my goodness I just wanna say that I loved the nostalgia from all the games you mentioned playing growing up. I haven't thought of those in awhile, especially Streets of Rage, Lion King and Golden Axe. Another really good one I was obsessed with was Nintendo 64's Snowboard Kids and GoldenEye 007! So many hours a day spent on those. Good times. EDIT: Commenting as I'm listening.

I knew there was a reason I was drawn to your channel! I'm currently working on my undergrad degree in wildlife science, but my interest is in raptors/birds of prey. My animal crossing island is all birds (mostly eagle villagers, but also at least one of every other "bird" villager).

OMG OKAPIISSSSS!! I did an animal research project in 4th grade I found a pic of an Okapi online and was so obsessed. I told my teacher about it, and she got mad at me and thought I was making it up. She was like "There are giraffes and their are zebras, theres no animal that looks like both!" so she picked my animal for me and gave me rhinos which are cute but >:(
