I recall being forced to watch horror movies as a kid with bigger cousins, and it was super overwhelming because I felt like I couldn’t get away from it. Also I loved Gremlins as a kid. Back then I wasn’t even phased by the gore, but looking back on it I’m like “wtf was wrong with me, I was one disturbed kid” LMAO. My older brother was terrified of it tho and I never understood why till I grew up. Such a good movie though! I guess my advice from my own experience with the movie would be to wait till Jade is like 6-7 and have her watch it at least once. She’ll most definitely let u know what she thinks of the movie at that age, then you’ll know whether or not to have her watch it again. It may scare her but part of being a kid is getting spooked by things & learning they won’t actually hurt you.

Get out of the tub and go straight to the inside when done, don't stand out there and freeze lol. The layer of heat on your body will keep you sufficiently warm enough to get inside. You don't instantly become outside temperatures the second you step out of the tub. XD

Another part of the reason that some people don't think of motherhood as a job is there's this idea that any work involving kids is easy. Pediatricians and early childhood teachers get it too; "you just play with kids all day." But it definitely can be hard, especially when kids aren't impervious to things like severe injury, sickness, poverty, danger, etc and you see that firsthand. Still, every day that you keep doing it anyways, you're slaying. Stay strong, Amanda. ❤

I have such a traumatic story about the Gremlins. My eldest brother would always be the one to babysit my other brother and I- and I guess it was SOOO funny to make us believe Gremlins were always attacking our house. He would make noises that sound like knocking or scratching and even invited a friend over to help. We were 4-6 at the time when my brother ran into the room with Red Gelatin on his neck and he "died" on our couch from his Gremlin injuries. We were not happy 😭😭😭

as someone who is slightly traumatized by the movie gremlins,, honestly id say watch it with her and let her know that she can turn it off when it gets too scary. thats what my parents did, i was a really anxious kid and had nightmares all the time so that movie wasnt it for me, but because i was allowed to turn it off im not genuinely traumatized by it. my twin brother absolutely loved it btw, and if she hates it its never to late for her to be a weird crazy kid LMFAO i was the weirdest kid ever, and i think if my mom wouldve let me watch it again like a year later i wouldve been obsessed with it.
