Tourism were open on those places until 2015 where there were some problems with local insurgents and two Bangladeshi tourists went missing. After that, many places are still restricted not only for foreigners but local tourists also. You might find it interesting that the top peaks of Bandarban was first explored by a British traveler in 2005 and he set the route to some other difficult peak as well. Anyway, bandarban is really a gem. I was lucky enough to explore in many places deep inside Bandarban. And the three country intersection is not accessible from the place where you are standing. You have to go there from neighboring district or you may also start trekking from Ruma which is a long hike. Enjoy your time here.
