    I love when we have Capitalists who will curse out Stalin, Mao, etc. for killing their political opponents, when the Americans do the same thing, just on an undercover scale. They say the one with the loudest voice has the most to hide. Great video, keep making this content!

      Thank you for your comment! Yes, the past shows it, they have not behaved any better, but they try keeping their moral superiority to stay the "good ones".

      @@historyfox: No matter how wicked the West has behaved, you’re gullible if you think Marxist-Leninists could have brought about anything but the famine and repression they succeeded in bringing to many African countries.

    Thank you so much for this video. It warms my heart to see a non African talk about these important African leaders. As a French African I can tell you that the denial or trying to downplay what happened is very strong in Europe. They like to either ignore it or say that it happened years ago and that we should move on and not let these crimes divide us. How convenient! Channel like yours are important. God bless you.

      Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that :) That's exactly why I do that, we talk so much about Napoleon, Vikings and the Second World War but barely mention African History, and then we wonder where are all these prejudices and racism we have here is coming from. Thank you for your kind words 🧡

      a few months ago is very shocked. discovering stories about European colonialism in Africa. something deeply shameful for the West in general. still contains narratives about human rights and freedom.

      @ibrahim9611 I recommend you to read the book titled "The True Flag" by Stephen Kinzer. America that call themselves the defender and promoter of democracy are in reality a curse to the mankind . They use democracy outside their country as a tool for exploitative imperialism. The same goes for the rest of the European countries. They know how to hide their atrocious history through propaganda in their various countries. A lot of people in USA, UK and Europe have no clue of the kind hideous crimes their government have committed and still committing in their names, especially in Africa.

      Yes, that's where the inequality starts, that the production sites don't belong to Africa, that there are non-African currencies making many countries dependent on Western economies and decision making.

    Good for Africans the price their forefathers have paid in trying to free the continent but you forgot to mention one of the first leaders who was assassinated by the French: Sylvanus Olympio of Togo in January 1963. Thanks.

    • @historyfox
      @historyfox  Рік тому

      Didn’t forget him, he is among the heads in the beginning, and then I state that this is a selection you know. I show ten there, I needed to select, was difficult to decide who to show here. However I want to do a second part with another 10 assassinated leaders, unfortunately there are so many.

    This was such an amazing video!! It’s so heartbreaking and infuriating that a lot of these figures and stories have just been forgotten. People wonder why Africa is so quote on quote ‘mismanaged and disorganised’ because, even ignoring slavery and colonialism, whenever there has been stability, unity or a promising future, the west just comes in and ruins it. Then they have the audacity to criticise Africa for being underdeveloped and blame the continent for not having stable governments. I’m glad you’re still making videos!! Don’t give up! You’re channel will get the recognition it deserves!! Especially because you’re so consistent and passionate

    • @historyfox

      That's so nice to say, thank you! Yes, I also hate seeing Europeans judging Africa, at the end it was the White people who prevented and are still preventing Africa from finding stability.
      You know, of course I wanna reach more people but I have also just fun doing research and getting in touch with so many nice and curious people on UA-cam like you, it also helps my presentation skills and getting more comfortable in public, so even if I don't be super successul, it helps me in my personal growth :)

    • @historyfox
      @historyfox  9 місяців тому +1

      He was beaten up multiple times (probably also tortured), then shot death by a firing squad. After that they buried his body in a shallow grave but was dug up again in order to make the body disappear without any trace. So they chopped him into pieces and dissolved them in acid, everything that was left after that was burned again. In that process the one golden tooth survived the process and was taken by the officers.

    Are you serious about Gaddafi?? Libya suffered corruption and serious human right abuse under Gaddaffi's rule. He attacked Chad for no reason for 10 years, gained nothing out of it, and to some extent contributed to the continuation of the conflict in Chad, causing his so called "African brothers" to suffer UNTIL THIS VERY DAY! This man was egotistic, unpredictable and dangerous. He even started a terrorist attack! It is a DISGRACE to put this man in the same list as people such as Sankara and Lumumba!

    Colonial countries going around torching other people's houses then act surprised when children from those houses come for shelter in their houses 😅. It would be easier to forget and forge the way forward if it only happened in the past. Sadly, it is still happening in 2024, just as it did in the past. Africa will overcome. Thank you so much for taking your time to research and share the information with us. Very much appreciated

    • @historyfox
      @historyfox  3 місяці тому

      He was very controversial and a dictator by definition. However I agree that he was more than that, he did a lot for his country which became the wealthiest in Africa in his time. And looking at what happened in Libya as soon as he was assassinated it shows again how crucial he was for his countries well being.
