- In this episode we take the new 28 Freeman offshore for its maiden voyage! Swordfish are the target species and before the day is over we catch 2 keeper swordfish! On the way back in we find some mahi, a tripletail, and a blackfin tuna! Back at Bud n' Mary's Marina we clean up the fish for a feast the following night! At the house We fry up some tripletail and blacken some fresh swordfish! Enjoy!

I got a 28ft hybrid with twin 200s and it’s my offshore rig cause I couldn’t afford anything bigger lol. I make 80 mile runs but I only go when it’s a ft or less forecast.

our offshore rig here in france is a 22ft with 200hp rib
we go 70nm offshore even with 20knots of wind and 3m swell
This rib allows more than 4 MPG

I presently am in a rehab center to get walking again 3 weeks ago I passed out at home from a side effect of my cancer I was in the hospital 2 weeks now I'm in a rehab center getting my walking legs back. @stanzfam so what would you have changed in your 38 build now that you’ve had it? Haven’t seen anyone else with that jack plate option.. tell us more!
The only change we are making on our 28’ is getting a longer trolling motor. If it’s rough and we are offshore the 84” still pops out of the water on some waves, we are waiting on a 96”. The jack plates are standard on all of them because of the transom design.

I recently got bit by the swordfish bug. My buddy went the LP rout 10K later. I wanted to get in with either the Beasaster 9000 or the 12000. Which one would you recommend between the 9000 and the 12000?
I don’t think I have ever seen the 12000 model. I caught some on the 9000 but ran out of line a couple times and burnt one up, so depending where you’re fishing and how much current you have will be a factor on how good the reel is. It’s not gonna be your long lasting hard-core reel by any means, but for occasional use it will work. The star drag isn’t my favorite either cause if you adjust the drag while fighting a fish you don’t know where you’re at drag (lbs) wise.
Nobody eats pin bones. They just pull them out after the fish is cooked

I know she specializes in stone crab, lobster diving and in shore, but has she always done that ?
She was still in school when I met her. She worked as a lifeguard and did some photography on the side.
Great video, as always. I have to say, though, a Yeti cast iron? I’m guessing that they sent it to you, but $400 for cast iron is ridiculous. People are buying the logo. Most of my cookware is Le Creuset or All Clad. Pretty expensive stuff, but worth it.The cast iron I ALWAYS go to is a well seasoned Lodge. $35 or so. Maybe I’m just cheap or poor cuz I can’t afford million dollar boats, but when it comes to something so simple as cookware, can you show something for the large majority of your viewers? I have to say it again; Yeti cast iron? C’mon, guys.
