Kentucky is an absolute gem from geology to fossils to Native American artifacts to sprawling caves of natural beauty, always holds a special place in my heart
Love the Platystrophia and Hebertella brachs. I worked in Kentucky a few years back and collected several examples of them. For any persons interested in collecting some brachs, I collected them near Taylorsville, KY (4-5 miles east of the intersection of highways 44 and 55). Kyle, I would love to collect fossils with you if you ever make it to Huntsville, Alabama.
27 minutes and UA-cam never notified me!!! and I have all notifications on for you! The 💩's !! @6:53 WHOA what a stunner Natalie!!! You must name hims Baby Jaws! Kyle @9:00 it resembles an Owl face! So cool! Natalie's @10:15 is stunning but I still love Baby Jaws! KYLE!! LOOK at you going and scoring magnificent finds also! The 2 of you are knocking it out with the amazing crystals in the brach's! The ones that go all the way through are remarkable! Do you know what would be really beautiful? If someday, if you don't already, when you have your Forever Home, if you had like a tall-ish concrete foundation, porch or wall(s) and put as many of your beautiful crystal and fossil finds placed lovingly and beautifully on them as permanently ? as possible. What excruciatingly beautiful show pieces they would be. Well, my vision of it/them is anyway. And you would be able to see them anytime/whenever you stepped outside or wherever you placed them. And they would never have to be kept hidden away in boxes or bags. They would be on permanent beautiful artistic display. Oh man Kyle, if you get that Trilobite professionally prepped, PLEASE, PLEASE share it when it is finished. Isn't it weird you can find so many crystals in one spot, then in another not a single crystal? GREAT video, love and hugs. Take care and be safe!
Geez you guys! Save some for the rest of us! Lol! Im just kidding! Ya'll knocked it outta the park! You are a great team together! Safe travels and well wishes from MS!
Gastro Queen... I'm sure that's all she ever dreamed of😂 Can we get that Queen something more royal than the plastic bags she has to hunt with? 😂😂😂love you both
I hope you’re doing OK sweetie it’s 2023 was a rough time but you’re doing good and I love the stuff you’re putting out. Oh my goodness some of the things I would love to have for my collections. Oh well you take care of yourself you take care of Natalie, hopefully things are going well. Keep up your singing career in 2024 will be much better. Love you my friend take care.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's so crazy to realize that millions of years ago there was an ocean so far inland. Thanks for sharing that and all of your fossil finds with us. It would be a lot of fun to go out and fossil hunt, hopefully someday. I live in the Pacific Northwest close to Canada. I wonder if there are different kinds of fossils up here. Can't wait to see more videos.
No doubt those KY roadcuts are candy stores for fossil addicts! You guys had some great fun at your locations, and the trilobite examples were icing on the cake! The fangs on some of Natalie's geode brachs were outrageous!! Thanks for the adventure!
I so wish I could have been there with you guys! I love the brachiopod geodes...I'm drooling! Kyle, never lose your passion for fossils. They keep us young at heart!
Love when you stop in my home state and probably not that far from where I live. Sometime gonna have to flag you down on that road and take you to creek where there are really good fossils of trees that once grew here.
Oh, lovely. My 2 favourite people! Once again, being in the UK, I am amazed that you find fossils on the side of the road 😮 great to see you, Kyle, with your lovely lady Natalie 😊
Yes I think Natalie was kicking your butt finding those gastropod geodes, she has a great eye for the fossils and she is right out there with you in that weather. The one she found at 6:50 is awesome. I have found some gastropods in a large Rock along the Saginaw River and this video makes me want to go back and find again but we finally got some snow so I will have to wait for warmer weather. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
Those are just insanely cool! Those plates are really cool. Trilobite fragments are better than no trilobites at all! And the cephalopods! And a complete trilobite! Amazing! Wow between the two road cuts you guys just found a bonanza of fossils! So many beautiful finds you two! Amazing! ❤
‼️‼️IDEA: pick up some plates/ fossils/ shells & sell them to us. I’d love some sand dollars‼️‼️‼️. Use recycled shopping bags to collect; because they have handles and can be washed.
Great road cut. What you said about the memories...That statement took me to my childhood, in a rockhounding family...that also dug bottles. Mom bought a book that identified interesting sites, by highway and mile post marker, in my home state, Arizona. Road cuts still peak my interest 50 years later. Hope you are finding peace and good health, young man.
Wow! Natalie certainly has an eye for finding gorgeous fossils! The crystals in them are stunning! You both are so good finding them! Thank you for sharing! Love it! 😊
Can you start a prep of the trilobite with an acid prep? Mamlambo Fossils does that a lot when he doesn’t want to shatter anything off with his tools. Maybe a vinegar soak and check it every couple hours to see what happened.
Lots of amazing finds, yall! I live about 15 minutes from the state line into Kentucky and there’s a huge road cut right where you enter the state. Seeing this makes me want to go fossil hunting there, but seeing how close it is to the highway and how speedy people drive around here, I think I would quickly become a skid mark on the pavement, lol.
This is such a great example of how fossils are EVERYWHERE. Most of my best pieces of crystallized (etc) coral have come out of... the corn field up the street from me 😂 might have to find a place to pull off the next time I'm in Kentucky 👀
Love the bottle videos but really enjoy the fossil hunts also. Reminds me of when I used to bring home every fossil I found as a kid. Also, what do you do with all the ones you keep?
Kyle that was a awesome video. You guys scored on finding fossils. My favorite was the beautiful fern tucked between that rock matrix. Happy New Year, and Happy Hunting.
I love videos like this. I wonder how many times I’ve driven somewhere and passed a place like that off of a highway and never knew you could potentially find fossils. We go to Florida every year for vacation and drive right through Alabama, we live in Illinois. Do you know of any places in the Midwest that has fossils like these. Thanks Kyle for another amazing video!
It is fascinating! It's basically like other geodes form. There ends up a void or hollow space within the Brachiopod once buried and over time groundwater percolates into the opening and the minerals create the calcite crystals!
It is best to hunt roadcuts when it rains. Come to Brookville IN. I hunt trilobites! We always called the gastropods "ice cream cones" Those trilobite pieces are molts. Isotelus are super hard to find I have only found 3 ever in 15 years
Great finds you both! Some of those brachiopods have gypsum in it as well. Those are the long bladed crystals and are the result of geothermal water seeping into the fossils. I have also found pink dolomite crystals and marcasite/pyrite in those brachios as well! You all scored big! Congrats my man. Also that trilobite is amazing! I can prep it out for you :)
Kyle , I have a question please, we live in the lower south central Mississippi area about an hour and a half above the gulf coast. All we see are trees and forests , there are creeks as well but with limited access but I really want to take my son Fossil hunting can you please tell me what types of fossils I might find in the area or what types of areas I should search in ? Thanks 😊 Condolences on the loss of your mom . My thoughts and prayers are with you
Which county and area are the road cuts located. We travel to Lexington often for cancer screenings Lisa has to have. We are avid fossil and rock hunters. We enjoy your videos always. Thanks again in advance. Much love and many blessings to you all
Lucky. I used to collect those in Eastern Kentucky when I was a kid, and there weren't crystals inside... it was just a limestone cast. Where in Kentucky are you?
Do you mind telling what part of Kentucky I could find fossils like that? I live in northern Kentucky and Ive never found Brachiopods that big nor have i found geode fossils! its incredible! I wanna hunt some so badly!! =D
Kentucky is an absolute gem from geology to fossils to Native American artifacts to sprawling caves of natural beauty, always holds a special place in my heart
Well hello Natalie from Mobile Al😊
@Lisaclay do we know each other?! I've moved around so much 😂
No, He just made the comment that your family lives in Alabama. Just a hello from a fellow person from Alabama.
Aww! I was just curious because I lived in Mobile for 10 years! 😊
Incredible video. I love seeing you so happy. I’m so glad Natalie wandered into your life. You are a beautiful couple.
Everything found is amazing.
Y'all got a lot of really kewl finds. The one Natalie found at 6:50 reminded me of the plant from little shop of horrors,"feed me Seymore".😂
I love that movie 😂

Brachiopods, trilobytes, cephalopods...I want to come fossil hunting with you guys!!! Awesome fossils!!!❤
That's awesome! In heading to Kentucky in March to visit family. Where abouts can I search? My wife is now fascinated with this..😂
Honestly some of those geodes should have googly eyes placed on top of them because that would make them all the more joyful
Geez you guys! Save some for the rest of us! Lol! Im just kidding! Ya'll knocked it outta the park! You are a great team together! Safe travels and well wishes from MS!
I love the crystal encrusted Brachiopods. The one you picked up at 12.25 was a heart shape you should give it to Natalie. 😊
I have ones that look like 3:28. They’re part of a clade called the Strophomenids.
Gastro Queen... I'm sure that's all she ever dreamed of😂 Can we get that Queen something more royal than the plastic bags she has to hunt with? 😂😂😂love you both

Nice stuff with bonus crystals .
always a good when you find some nice fossils
Absolutely!
So cool ND just on the side of the road?? How awesome
You better marry that fossil hunter.
Freeze at @9:54 Lowe right corner. Aminunite or sethropod right under your finger? Loved this road cut video. And yes, Natalie is the queen of fossils
Good finds today. Geodes in the fossils was a pleasant surprise.
They are really unique!
So much stuff Kyle. Thank you both for taking me along.
That was a blast from the past 👍🏻
It's so crazy to realize that millions of years ago there was an ocean so far inland. Thanks for sharing that and all of your fossil finds with us. Are you going to do a video on your bottle/fossil collection soon
I've been wanting to do that for a while. Hopefully soon! Probably moving soon so might have to get settled with that first.
6:46 fossilized little shop of horrors! 😂 that's freaking awesome
Exactly. That rock is begging to be carved into a face.
Kyle I throughly enjoy going on your adventures with you!!! Way Way Cool!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Some of the brachiopod geodes remind me of some kind of fossilized piranha with all those pointy crystals.
So cool. They're just sitting there waiting for you to pick them up! Love those fossils!
No doubt those KY roadcuts are candy stores for fossil addicts! You guys had some great fun at your locations, and the trilobite examples were icing on the cake! The fangs on some of Natalie's geode brachs were outrageous!! Thanks for the adventure!
Amazing! I share the love of fossils and rocks.
I so wish I could have been there with you guys! I love the brachiopod geodes...I'm drooling! Kyle, never lose your passion for fossils. They keep us young at heart!
We haven’t seen Duck Man for awhile
Love when you stop in my home state and probably not that far from where I live. Sometime gonna have to flag you down on that road and take you to creek where there are really good fossils of trees that once grew here.
I knew it!! I drove through the region so many times. I wish I had time to stop and check out the fossils. I knew they should be there.
As a Michigan guy I recognized that limestone!
Oh, lovely. My 2 favourite people! Once again, being in the UK, I am amazed that you find fossils on the side of the road 😮 great to see you, Kyle, with your lovely lady Natalie 😊
Gorgeous geodes. Natalie has a great eye for fossils! :-)
She really does! It's so fun to do this with her :)

Gosh ,that was awesome, Y'all 💥⛏⛏!!! Nice 👌
I would love one of those really big well-preserved brachs!
Love the videos of you and Natalie discovering stuff
Amazing fossils!!! 🤩🤩👊👊👊 Enjoyed the video, now I need to go hunting for fossils 😎 See ya!!!
I love watching your adventures. Thanks for bringing us along. Keep doing what you do!
Those are just insanely cool! Those plates are really cool. Trilobite fragments are better than no trilobites at all! And the cephalopods! And a complete trilobite! Amazing! Wow between the two road cuts you guys just found a bonanza of fossils! So many beautiful finds you two! Amazing! ❤
Yes! Sooo many incredible fossils at these roadcuts. We had an amazing time!
Love this one Kyle
Looks like central Ky in the Bluegrass region. The trilobite head is from a Flexicalymene meeki.
Really amazing pieces u two found💕👍🇫🇮
‼️‼️IDEA: pick up some plates/ fossils/ shells & sell them to us. I’d love some sand dollars‼️‼️‼️. Use recycled shopping bags to collect; because they have handles and can be washed.
what fun finds! Thanks for answering the questions that are in the comments. I wanted to know the answers too lol.
Of course! I try my best :)
Nice finds!
Thanks Heather!

Great finds as always, you never disappoint! Those "brachiodes" were all amazing . Especially Natalie's shark mouth one. Awesome finds 👍
Wow my mind boggles at the amazing fossils you find just beside the road, those brachiopod geodes are beautful.
Oh man, I really would love to see those all cleaned up and shining!
This is such a great example of how fossils are EVERYWHERE. Most of my best pieces of crystallized (etc) coral have come out of... the corn field up the street from me 😂 might have to find a place to pull off the next time I'm in Kentucky 👀
Beautiful finds guys! I’m jealous once again! 😂
Considering the preservation on some of your fossils, maybe you could make a diorama of the ancient sea bed 😮
My dad and I visited the Maysville cut back in September, unfortunately we didn’t find too much exciting. Those brachiopods are insane!!
I love the Maysville roadcut! I went once so far and I got lucky with a couple nice cephalopods!
Nice! I lived in Kentucky for 10 years and only found one geode in someone's driveway
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
So cool. I am such a fan of all the brachiopods… but just love Trilobites!!
I believe that's around breathitt county Kentucky....nice finds thought about stopping there myself , you need to check Jackson County out down on 30
12:15 maybe barite on the calcite
amazing amount of finds
nice finds Kyle congrats
That was some very cool finds! I like the plates of fossils, I think they're so interesting! Have a wonderful week you two!
Theo does fossil prepping.
This was a fun video. I love Natalie's necklace. Did she make it,?
Great Crystal's. That one looked like a shark for sure. Thanks
I found the necklace at a thrift shop! It has a bead that slides up so it can store crystals/fossils! The tapir tooth in it is from Kyle 😊
It is very cool. Thank you for letting me know
I can prep the trilo for you Kyle

heres an interesting experiment... could you take a blacklight to em, and see if there's hidden patterns, like on the neogene shells in florida?
ground finds r best kind
Looking forward to more bottle and shark teeth videos!
Bottle vids soon for sure! Shark tooth sites a bit too flooded at the moment 😭
♥
Kyle can you please go a bit more in-depth and explain what a ‘brachiopod’ is and everything else you find? Thanks
Google my friend. My fave way to find out and get details.
@@donnabowen1636LMAO THE SASS.. 😂😂
Most of them look like you are picking up grey walnuts! Lol
How do you clean fossils?
It is best to hunt roadcuts when it rains. Come to Brookville IN. I hunt trilobites! We always called the gastropods "ice cream cones" Those trilobite pieces are molts. Isotelus are super hard to find I have only found 3 ever in 15 years
Everything shows up better that's for sure!
Would be fun to hunt some Indiana roadcuts one day!
What Beautiful finds, all those tiny crystals. You do a great job zooming in on those. Your Beautiful as always and Natalie too!
Do you know what's up with Paleo Chris? Miss seeing the two of you together!!!
We just filmed a video together a few days ago! Will probably be my video for next week's upload :)

Do you sell any of your finds? I would love a brachiopod!!!
Most likely an Etsy page coming soon to make that happen!
Those are amazing ,
do you not think that maybe they are all geodes?
I've found brachs here in Ohio ,but not any where the size of the ones you found there .
Kentucky definitely has had the biggest I've found so far!
Lucky. I used to collect those in Eastern Kentucky when I was a kid, and there weren't crystals inside... it was just a limestone cast. Where in Kentucky are you?
You da man, Kyle and of course Natalie is da woman. Hee hee.
Yes! Hahaha
Do you mind telling what part of Kentucky I could find fossils like that? I live in northern Kentucky and Ive never found Brachiopods that big nor have i found geode fossils! its incredible! I wanna hunt some so badly!! =D
This is in the general area of Shelbyville/Louisville!
@@WILDKYLE oh awesome! Tysm!
I did not expect them to still be live ones in today’s world. Nor to have crystals inside.
Mucrospirifer, composita, atrypa oh my.
Awesome finds. How would you know that stopping along the side of the freeway there would be fossils?
Kyle, do you reveal where you are in Kentucky? I have been in the Maysville area with fewer finds than you are showing.
молодцы
Do you cut these open to see if there are crystals inside?
I'm definitely going to soon!
What kind of rock is that? I have tons of shell rock here where we live but haven't found any fossil shells
