Just curious, if ATC is ON, will it get engine's RPM lower when you jettison heavy stores, so to stay on speed? Losing so much weight and drag makes you faster, so RPM must go a little down.

The wingtip stations cannot be jettisoned, you can launch them if you really need to get rid of them however. But id say it's probably not worth the hassle. They're low drag and only light payloads are mounted there.
Just dump fuel until you're near the maximum trap weight (33,000lbs), which is listed on the checklist page. If you're carrying a very heavy payload, i'd dump those before fuel, you don't want to be dropping below about 4,000lbs of fuel so you've got time for bolters and queuing for landing.
Unit templates work, however static templates are not yet implemented. I've linked some mission examples of the ships with static objects in the comments of the Carrier static objects tutorial

when im flying the hornet sometimes I get a thumping noise in the cock pit of the plane is this normal or am I doing something wrong it could be coming from the engines it does not do it when I first am flying after awhile is when it does it.

You can look into Trackir, delanclip, freetrack or trackhat. This video was recorded using Trackir rather than VR. Alternatively you can use the mouse or a hat switch on your joystick to look around although you'l be at a disadvantage in dogfights and more generally struggle for situational awareness. It's still playable however.
You won't usually notice since it's realtime. But if you start a mission at sunrise or sunset it'l become very apparent over the duration of a mission.
Lol how did you not know? Never played around with the mission editor? (jk jk) It has a complete dynamic, real time time of day and weather simulation...but nobody uses that and instead just sets the mission time at noon and the weather to clear because people get annoyed when they join their favorite server for a round and its night time, or it's foggy or raining or too windy to take off or whatever... I can understand that...but at the same time it does detract from the realism somewhat. You can also do retarded stuff, like setting the wind to 160knots, steer your aircraft into the wind on the ground then vertically take off as by magic...

ATC Holds a constant Mach number, If you drop stores the aircraft will accelerate a little then the ATC will slow it back down to maintain speed.

When I use emergency stores jettison and then land and rearm the next take off will immediately dump stores again.
