I’ve had the 2021 ST Manual for a few months now. I came from a 2012 Toyota Hilux SR5 and really enjoy this new Navara. I chose the ‘21 model due to the upgraded GVM of 3150kg when combined with the ST Manual with a curb weight of 2050 gives me 1100kg to play with modifications for turning it into a 4wd tourer without a GVM upgrade requirement in my situation. Also the ST model is much cheaper yet maintains nearly all of the electronic features the Pro4X has minus climate control. This is perfect savings considering I’ll be modifying things like the tub, tyres, suspension and bar work anyway. Overall I’m very happy with the ST model this year compared to other options in this sector especially for modifying and customising.

If they had updated the interior into the year 2021 with a change in design and tech I would have strongly considered this Ute as the exterior looks damn good now that they have possibly taken some of their US styling and added it to the Navara.

I’m going SL cab chassis and putting catch can ,profilter, Idrive and caravan tow mirrors. I’ll keep my eye out for a set of ST or STX rims that’s someone has ditched for something flashier and retro fit the original tyres until they wear out, I may end up going to a more road based tyre on replacement. And I’m toying with the idea of the Torqit three inch exhaust, but that will depend on the weather? I’ll be towing a New Age MR19E , 2650kg and never intend to go off road . Thanks for your efforts of putting such an informative and professional clip together, much appreciated 👁👁🙃🙃🐕‍🦺👍🍺🇦🇺

And here's why the same car did so much better in your ute test. How many Nissan ads will I see on your website? It's the same car how can you explain the increase in its performance in your reviews.

Pro-4x for me. I received the car last week. Ordered with heated seats and they were fitted! Despite the console blanks the control buttons are on the side of the seats. These are difficult to find and know if they are on or off. I upgraded from a 2010 Navara ST-X and is a significant step up but I am disappointed by the significant reduction in cabin storage. I estimate there is a 30% reduction in compartment space and general storage availability from the old D40 model. There is no good place to put your mobile phone other than the console cup holders. The space next to the console connection is only good for a Nokia 2110!
Overall I love the new Pro-4x and had my first 6hr day drive on the weekend. It drives really well and is very comfortable over a long journey.

Hey mate, how did you request the heated seat option? Is it from the dealership only or Nissan ? Does it cost any extra money?

Ordered a pro 4x and when it turned up it had no electric heated seats so ordered an stx, then the dealer rang me and they are fitting heated electric seats to the pro 4x for me so its back to that for me. Nissan should of had them standard as it is the top of the line at the moment but still the best riding ute out there that's why i'm updating my 2018 st.

    • @elricmao

I agree if they maybe updated it with the interior of the terra dash in the Dubai offering it would go a little further in the appeal department. Also a 3.8 petrol and a 3.0 diesel would also help.

I own a 2019 navara and love it. However, I think the pro4x should have included an improved engine (at least 500nm) and lifted suspension. I am not impressed with new interior: is almost the same as the previous year which is sad considering the great work Nissan is doing with their new cars (Sentra, xtrail, qashqai).

  • @jaykazama9132

I think a 4wd wagon equiv would be the better option for a family weekend hauler. Least the luggage is protected from the rain, and is lockable. Plus, in a wagon you can fold the seats down to fit more Ikea items. Dual cabs are limited by its tray length.
I'm waiting for the new MUX and the new gen Everest to come out for this reason.
