Me too man!!! Ive been a manual player since like 2013. Think i first tried it on FIFA at the time. Havent got back since. Its been so hard to consistently find online games against other manual players though. Finally now!!

This is really the first year that I’ve given full manual a true chance. It’s a tough learning curve, more so the shooting than the passing for me. The thing is though, it fixes the biggest problem I’ve had with the game lately, which is just dominating the computer in possession regardless if I win or lose. Now every pass feels important, and overall the game just feels so much more organic because the passing and shooting don’t feel pre-determined. Love it 😍

question i have is, since you put it on manual, how does the game recognize the trough ball and normal pass? SInce you control the power and the direction? Cuz i can't seem to pass does curled trough passes that i would normally pass with lvl 1 support and then i just started thinking whats the difference then on manual?

I was playing FUMA on FIFA 14 and I was a really really good player (top 0.1% worldwide), so my hands on the controller in FUMA are pretty good as you can understand... I've never had any problems with FUMA and I always wanted to play FUMA in all football games cause I was at my best in FUMA cause I had all control... however in PES 2021 I've found 2 problems... the through ball in manual is BROKEN... and I mean completely trash... I barely tap it and it sends it to the other side of the field... is it because I turned it to advanced? Do I have to put it back to basic? and isn't basic assisted? cause I wanted it manual...
The 2nd issue I have with PES 2021 manual controls is shooting... shooting looks great in manual in PES 2021 but it is waaaaay too sensitive... I felt like when I moved my thumb half a millimeter my shot got ruined... which means that I ended up just aiming toward the goal but without precision... I just wanted to hit the goal and not miss it completely... which is very unproductive cause the whole reason to play FUMA is to be able to aim EXACTLY where you want... one thing FIFA did great in FUMA back then was the fact that is was completely manual but less sensitive... meaning that it gave you a tiny margin for error and that little margin made you learn how to hit corners in FUMA shooting while in PES I feel it's more luck than skill... you just aim towards the goal and hope for the best...
Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd really appreciate a reply cause if I can play FUMA in PES the career mode or master league or whatever will be sooo much sweeter...

Hi you’re one of my favourite pes 21 youtuber other than Truebrits, Knightmd and LFFL, i want to ask what type of through ball you’re using, im a bit late to FUMA, but i have no problem with manual pass and Shooting after a few practice, but since we’re talking about FUMA I didn’t want the game to assist me in any way, but i find it extremely difficult to use advanced through ball, if i turn on the directional guide it makes sense, you do have a complete freedom over the where you want the ball to be, but then the circle guide on the field is distracting(focusing on the direction means i take my eyes from other players getting in position) plus taking away the immersive experience of the game, but if i turn it off it becomes a guessing game about where the ball will be as we will control the direction using the left stick, you can’t know for sure where it will end up. Plus the freedom doesn’t make sense if you can feed the ball anywhere where you don’t have a player to receive it or they have to sprint to get it or there’s an opponents around the empty space, using the basic pretty much make things make sense, but then it will not be a full manual. Tell me what you think, personally the idea of total freedom over the ball is great but I think its a bit broken.

It's so hard scoring on manual shooting but I've began scoring in some bangers recently, when you put it altogether it's amazing pulling them off and a pleasure to see.. keep going though bud!

If you're trying FUMA for the first time, I would drop the difficulty to something like Professional until you get the hang of it, then steadily increase it. Good luck! It's the best way to play.

@@LLsmoothJay it'll click eventually. What camera are you using? Many people prefer one without any angle. I use Stadium though I think that probably makes it trickier. You can try running straight on goal in free training mode, and shooting straight in the direction you're facing. Make sure your pace isn't quick, and you time the button press/hold so that you use the strong foot at the end of your stride. Once you have that in place and can normally hit the centre of the goal, you can start experimenting by using different power and direction inputs. And finally, you can start approaching from different directions. Really though it's just practice and muscle memory. I expect at some point it'll suddenly "click".
JanguvPES using dynamic wide, the passing is fine it’s just my shooting, had 4 games all 15min matches and still can’t score or even manage 2 shots on target. Thanks for advice mate, already tried in training and can only score once in the box
@@LLsmoothJay ah, well, only 4 matches is still early days! The reason it's so tricky at first, imo, is you're having to unlearn assisted shooting. With assisted, you're often deliberately aiming wider than the target, and it's also more forgiving when you do that. So the habit is to aim in all these really crazy places and you don't realise you're doing it.
i have played pes21 and in first look see some features like fifa i think some ball and body movements are like fifa especially in some shoots and some times feel a light ping pong ball in ground ,ball in pes 2020 is alittle better
but i love pes and it is great in gamepaly❤️
At first I liked the smoothness but now it feels like bloody FIFA! I can score lots of goals and concede as many! Players run all day every day! I miss PES 20!
It is great now for me. I little step to fifa game play but its still mostly pes and i like it 100 times more than fifa and even pes 2020

The angle wasn't the issue, the dog and my son were playing up lol. Pulling my other chair about and banging it into doors lol. It's also the first time I've played FUMA since 2017.
@@SpoonyPizzas Fair enoug but it's some next level mojo if you can adjust the angles in your brain with the tilting camera angle! Kudos! I need the angle to be constant or my instincts for the stick direction go haywire!
@@higgins007 i used stadium last year on FUMA, zoomed out, no issues. Think the zoomed out stadium this year is even better as well.
I don’t trust Konami they did it last year with pes 20 demo & full game I won’t buy game only after 2 updates , but could you tell me is it still the AI player has the super shield power to the ball ? And does your player loss the ball and balance as soon as the AI player touch you ?

That's what I was thinking. I've always played full manual. And have no guides or assistance whatsoever.
I think advanced is a disqualification.
@@ChrisKendallCK I think for FUMA, its essential to have through ball set to advanced. Its difficult to send through balls in intended direction on Advanced mode as opposed to basic one.
@@hardikgosalia but at the same time.. you get a guide line showing you where the ball is going. Which I count as an assist. Which therefore contradicts full manual.

yeah 15 is about right for you to get a feel of the passes, the players runs, everything.. It's hard to beat the AI on Legend in 10 mins.. lol, especially when you're also using manual shooting.

Yup
Probably the best result you could hope to achieve on this difficulty and control scheme. I think the CPU also switches homing off of their passes when you choose manual.
On average I find its nigh on impossible to break teams down on full manual and even when you do manage it, you're likely to miss your goal scoring opportunity due to the dodgy shooting sliders since PES 2020 which has a bias toward the frame of the goal or totally wide altogether.
On average I can only manage 1-0 wins using manual. It's an interesting experience, but overall find it less fun, as I just can't create the opportunities and speed of passing movements around the box that I can with assisted.

I played full manual for a while, and there are pros and cons there. Pros - yes, when things click you can score a very realistic goal. Problem is - most of the time things don't click. And most of the time you will be frustrated. Also AI is amazing scoring on the first shot. Just pure skill there, right?
The whole point of going manual is to be able to put the ball in open spaces for players to pick up. But game really struggles with this, because the game engine does not know what to do with open area balls. Yes, you can force your players into those positions in advance, but this becomes a daunting task very quickly, since all you do really is managing where you will put your player to receive a pass, rather then hitting the net - which is why the score is always so low on manual. Also, game slows down quite a bit on manual, to the point where AI one on ones with your goalie become a routine. You misstep (and that happens a lot, with horrible ragdolling and bouncing of players all over the pitch) and you will never catch up to AI's forward. At least on PC, that's how I see it, may be console is different. If the game had at least a very effective dribbling system with the right stick, it would potentially help with players not being able to pick up manual pass in open area, since when I am in the box or near it, I would rather dribble and shoot, then see my pass go unanswered. Also, interceptions are non - existent on manual. You literally see players spreading their legs to let balls through from AI's pass. Playing on manual - is 90% managing the formation, and the rest is luck. I don't like assist either, but fluidity of the game becomes better when assisted. As far as feeling of being rewarded when scoring on manual - well, if you play a dozen matches as draws, it will feel rewarding when you finally score. But that's math and a probability factor - even a broken clock it right twice a day.

@@olyoly8914 In real life football, it's struggle too. Things don't click always in real football matches too. Some player screws up, some easy miss etc. So it's acceptable that this should happen in game too.

Just got the game but kinda regret it already. It feels a bit too fast this year & the engine is stale.
It feels fast because the shielding has been nerfed which means you have to.move the ball faster but the heavy first touch makes it harder to keep possession. That makes it more frenetic.

It's playing full manual there's no assist . For example when shooting or passing you have to aim the direction you want the ball to go. Like in real life. It gives you full control of the game

Eurogamer is one, if not the best gaming site in the net. But they always give PES a hard time, while giving a pass on FIFA. They hammer FIFA in the text, but always recommend it. They praise the PES gameplay, but hesitate to recommend. Unbelievable. Maybe they are very impressed by the presentation, seems incoherent.

Hi dude, those reviewers have to review tons of games. They're casuals when it comes to footy games. They want something they can pick up n play. Trust me, this is leagues ahead of 2020. Quite possibly my favourite PES ever. Right now, in its current state.

Nope haha, I played during 2017 (as it was super easy difficulty wise) and got bored as I found myself playing a super safe game just to win.
@@SpoonyPizzas But you no longer have to do that to win... I pull off crazy passes and still do tiki taka against the computer. Just have to get over the learning curve and then you can be expansive in how you play.

@@janguvpes7518 Honestly, I played 2017 to death with FUMA and the AI can't handle manual passes. Half of the attempted passes on PA1 in this match would've been intercepted. Same with super cancel being held down, it's like they can't program something they can't calculate.
