- My favorite all time short on KABLAM! EVER! :D I OWN NOTHING that isn't mine! This part of the episode "Under New Mannagement". B4 there was Stewy Griffin there was this dog & a charming football-headed boy named Arnold.

One difference is in Teacher's Pet, Spot's owner Leonard knew that his dog could talk and was going to school.
I feel like at a point Lance would learn Stewy’s a dog but will agree to keep it a secret.
Yeah he would also he would say school is for human kids not for dog's and also he would say school is not for adults unfortunately in reality school can be for adults when child turns 18 depending on his or her birthday also birth year for mys is 1989
@@johnnyboy-ws3we probably. I feel like he’d be surprised at first. But then it would end up being like Leonard with spot/Scott.
Nickelodeon would have made this into a series if Disney didn't beat them to the punch with Teacher's Pet.
LOL at "We're going to begin the school year with a very special treat: an educational film!"
It's easy to tell that this short is most likely where Gary Baseman got the inspiration for Teacher's Pet, and although the two are fairly similar in terms of the overall plot of a dog pretending to be a human boy/student there are some differences that separate them such as Stewy's owners not knowing what their dog is doing. While in the former Leonard is very much aware of the fact that Spot is disguising as a kid and coming to school with him while trying as much as possible to conceal from everyone else the fact that "Scott Leadready II" is really his dog. Along with him knowing that Spot (thus Mr. Jolly and Pretty Boy by extension as is pointed out in the scene when Leonard finds out) can talk.
Also note that the black shirted kid that Stewy meets really does sound like Arnold, and it likely was his VA which would've been Philip Van Dyke at the time. Given this short was made sometime around either Season 2 or 3 of Hey Arnold! it makes sense there.
On top of that the principal sounds like hes voiced by Maurice Lamarche who voiced Helgas dad.
@@berniekatzroy That's right, he was of course the voice of Big Bob Pataki the "Beeper King" himself.
I like the principal in this one better then the one in teacher's pet.
5:28 the proncipal has a final boss theme
3:22 honestly in school I preferred watching educational videos instead of actual work
Well, in the olden days (at least before the 1980s), educational classroom films/videos were often pretty boring, similar to the one they watched in that cartoon. Forcing a cartoon classroom to watch one of those old boring educational films is a lot funnier than having them watch a newer educational video.
@@ZakWolf Ah, I see thank you for explaining that to me
2:30 that sounds like arnold from hey arnold
It probably was the same actor.
stewy seems to have a lot less control over his dog instincts rather than spot
This was kind of nice. I like Teacher's Pet more but it would have been nice if this had become its own series, as kind of an alternate version of the answer to the question "what would happen if a dog went to school?" Although if they really wanted they could have changed it and made Stewy a cat or something to make it less similar. But I guess it wasn't worth the trouble..
I agree with your comment
this was meant to have its own show but it was cancelled due to teachers pet by disney which had the same plot
this is made by the same guy...
No it's not
um yes it is
It's most definitely not. Look up the credits of both shows, moron. The creator of Teachers Pet DID make a short for Kablam before but it wasn't this one.
I thought it was pretty funny, not that bad
Did you guys know this cartoon would later become a Disney series called Teacher's Pet?
>Dog has a talking animal bird sidekick
>The other dogs think its unnatural that Stewie wants to go to school
>The main mother character of this short has red hair
This was Nick ripping off Disney because usually Disney rips off everything else.
Actually this came first. Their was a series planned, but got dropped because of Teacher's Pet however.
it actually the plot 4 the show
woof
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was funny also at 1:32 when dad said school is for kids would be easy if he said school is kids and adults cause my brother is college he is in his mid 20"s to
Who voiced stewy anyway
i rememer this show, nick used to be better
I think its russi taylor
1:32 why did it just say school is for kids and adults cause in real life real life when a child reaches age of 6 or is about to turn 6 they can attend elementary school from 1st to 6th or 1st to 5th grade depending on the school system and the child's birthday then later when a child reaches ages 11 and 12 they can attend their 1st year in middle school depending on school system and child's birthday then later on when a child turns 13 or is about to 13 they can graduate from middle school depending on childs birthday and system later when a child reaches age 14 or 13 they graduate from middle school depending on the school and kids birthday later when a kid reaches age 14 they can attend high school for 1st or 2nd year depending on the school later when a child turns 18 or is about to turn 18 they can graduate from high school depending on kids birthday and when a child turns 18 or is about to turn 18 they can attend college depending on kids birthday
ikr
@@SecretFilesOfTheSpyDogs yeah i agree with you i myself was born in the fall of 1989 and I was allowed to attend my 1st year in elementary school and that was the same time I got into anime and later when i was about to turn 12 and right before 9/11 i was allowed to attend middle school and right before my 14th birthday I was allowed to attend high school and how about you what is your birth year and when did you start attending school
@@johnnyboy-ws3we i was born in the spring of 2008 and started going to school in the fall of 2012
@@SecretFilesOfTheSpyDogs I'm guessing you started 1st grade at age 6 for me i was turning 6 when I was starting school

So between this and Teacher's Pet, is there a rule that says that if you have a show with the premise of a dog pretending to be a human, your art style must be ugly as sin?
It was just the mouths that looked ugly
LOL, Teacher's Pet was a lot better than this.
+KaijuTaxi no i like stewy
no way

Bro what the fuck. This is too much like "Teacher's Pet"
When I started watching this short I went in with an open mind and thought "maybe there are a lot of direct comparisons but im sure there are drastic differences between the two shows."
Then the bird walked in and it dawned on me between that and the Dog hating Principal this really is just Teacher's Pet. Its like how Juniper Lee and American Dragon feel like the same show.
this came first
Terrible cartoon. Teachers Pet was better.
Personally, I would prefer this one to Teacher's Pet, but that one was still pretty good.
@ChrisSmithVideos2 That's what the show turned into. :]
0:32 Uhh...
I actually have a recording of this episode from 2001. Do you want me to upload it to my MEGA account? :)
Goryparodies Productions yes!
Did you upload it
@@dennisguilder1 At some point, but it wasn't in the best quality. I'm planning to rerecord it when I get the chance.
@@goryparodiesproductions6561 maybe try using some sort of AI to rescale it
@@dennisguilder1I don't know how to do that specially.
