before you go pulling the head of pascal do a compression and leak down test isolate the problem to the gasket ensure its not a piston ring issue also look up Tee Kay tester its a head gasket tester i dont know what the equivalent is where you are that might help to isolate the issue to the gasket
A lot of mechanics/engineering shops can be difficult to get in touch with. They often ignore the phone and just flat out don't read emails. It's inconvenient but it may be best to just go round there in person, and if they haven't made any progress with your engine you should probably take it to someone else. Even a busy shop should be able to turn around a basic 4 cylinder engine in a couple of weeks.
Hey, I love your enthusiasm and I love that you don't let any troubles make you lose it! Good for you! I am in the same scenario here pretty much. I own 6 Triumphs, currently non of them on the road and I drive a friend's Triumph so I can feel a part of the community LOL So you are not alone....
Ah man projects are heartache sometimes can really see the emotion coming out when you talk about the Spitire and that's good because it clearly means a lot. Visualise that finished, gleaming Spitfire project, sunny day, wind in your hair. I really hope you stick with ❤
Saige you are an impressive young woman. Your knowledge is growing incredibly fast. EVs are not the way to go BTW I guarantee you will dislike it. Take care and good luck.
Anybody that's actually into cars knows how hard it is to deal with machine shops anymore all the old guys have retired and the ones that are left, they're overbooked. A cars a car, electric or not, all that matters is you're having fun.
no such thing as a dead line for repairing anything old - but there should be a consumer affairs department (or business bureau) to look at the disappearance of the machine shop and your parts
