That brings back memories. The wife bought a black 85 new in 85. In 88 she overheated it and #3 rod was knockin' so I ordered a Mancini racing short block. Ordered a bigger turbo put an ported head on it with a straight pipe exhaust with a super trap muffler. I ran a vacuum bleed on the waistgate. I was running over 20lb boost but kept blowing #3 pistons lands. It did run an 11.7 in the 1/4 mile at 117mph once but I gave up. Now a days with turbo timers and msd overboost that car would hold together. Man I miss that thing. We had the louvers and headlight covers. That was a good looking car. 👊😎👍
Lucky the ones that live near you, I have been trying o get parts for my 1990 ES, like the outside driver side door handle and the rear light assemblies, this is the bad part of living in Puerto Rico.
I was a flat rate dealer tech then and prepped, serviced and did warranty shit work on these. The last GTS sedan and Lebaron coupe were way better cars and had Mitsu bishi turbo.
Added it to the description as well www.ebay.com/str/crestlineautorecyclingservices?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6DMS92amSp2&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=6DMS92amSp2&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I had 3 turbo 2.2’s as daily drivers 20-25 years ago. They were daily let-downs instead. Best was in a Chrysler Executive 7-seat turbo factory limo. Most fun was 1984 Dodge 600 Euro 5-speed but that one misbehaved weekly. Gooood luck!!!
We currently have 3 drivers and none have given us any problems. Honestly , I've had many in the years and none were bad. Had a turbo lancer years ago that I couldn't figure out why it would leak fuel at the injectors would probably be the worst one.
Had two Dodge Daytona, one 2.2 N/A and a 2.5 Turbo 1. Liked them as they were reliable and easy to work on. The Turbo very easy to modify but not too much boost due to no intercooler.
I have had so many fwd Mopars I have lost count lol. NA cars, to and tii cars. We currently have a tii Lebaron convertible and a ti Shadow ES 4 door with a 5 speed
It's a shame, I've had 15-inch Carroll Shelby wheels for the Daytona back in 93 they were mint of course and sold them to a Mexican for 50 bucks. I had brand new 16-in white IROC Daytona Wheels probably sold all four of those for 50 bucks to the same Mexican. I had immaculate interiors for these cars. Should have held on to all of it

The 84-86 had the best looking front end for sure. I've never "built" one of these. Always been stock or near stock
thats not a ebay turbo thats a vnt turbo

Its Carol Shelby. I purchased the same car new in 1986 with the "CS" package. Thanks for the memories.

Great find Matt. I hope that is the CS I was looking at. I’m glad you got it.
This one came from up near Toledo
Ls swap it, or hemi...
Absolutely not.
Eh white t top is best first gen g body.
White isn't bad either! For some reason I always seem to have red cars Out Shadow and Lebaron are both red. Our Omni is the odd ball in Santa Fe Blue

Maybe DIBS!
I had a 1989 Daytona Shelby CS in high school and I love that car. Wish I still had it.
My first car was a 1987 Shelby Charger and it was a perfect running car. I'd love another one myself.
That's awesome! Tons of great parts!
Definitely lots of inventory!! The other car is packed full of stuff
Nice score!
