    Love the videos. Keep em coming!
    Props to you for doing blood work right after a lengthy prep. Most guys wait 10+ weeks and go, "Hey, see? I'm fine." They completely neglect the time spent pushing when things can look a bit wacky. You're brave. Whenever I see a marker a bit off I freak for a few minutes lol.

    Try franks 0 cal wing sauce and a little nsa ketchup on the beef and rice meal. So good with some steamed asparagus mixed in for veggie as well

    try putting baking soda in oatmeal after its cooked and before u put blueberries, it'll give it a bit salty taste instead of putting salt in , and it will also increase the volume of it.

    • @laimonaslb
      @laimonaslb 6 років тому

      Baking soda is made of Sodium Bicarbonate so it's basically the same as salt, just a larger molecular complex.

    Hey John thanks for the video. ive watched every single one since you started the NY prep series. Super informational. I Am competing next weekend and am looking to set up my reverse diet also. My harris B equation has me at 1800cals and was going to start my reverse at 2500 cals (40%carb,40%pro, 20%fat), Do you think this is a good starting point for the reverse?

    Great video as always. How long will your off season be? Also you should try/make coconut butter.. it has the same taste as coconut oil but a different consistency. It's like puree. It's a game changer! I'm sure you'd love it!

    Are you not working with Matt Anymore? What supplements do you use during the rebound phase? Also, thoughts on creatine while cutting weight pre workout? Thanks John!

    Mr. strong John sat on his lawn eating his oats and whey when along came the grim and sat down beside him and frightened John away. Couldn’t resist I’m sorry... 🤣

    Isn't the Harris-Benedict like very outdated? I read somewhere the mifflin st. Jeor is more accurate.
    Not that I know better than you do, but just had to drop it. :)

  • @giancarlodisalvo1784

    John,
    Can I ask why you don't just blend up the oats, berries, powder, peanut butter, and water in the form of a smoothie? Is there a disadvantage to doing that?

    • @johnjewett7970
      @johnjewett7970  6 років тому +2

      Yes, oats uncooked have a high amount of resistant starch that prevents digestive enzymes from breaking it down and preventing absorption. Cooking breaks down the resistant starch barrier and increases the solubility of the oats allowing enzymes access to breakdown the carbohydrates. I want to be able to absorb my carbs for a fuel source. Eating them raw in a shake isn't ideal for my purpose.

    • @giancarlodisalvo1784
      @giancarlodisalvo1784 6 років тому

      @John Jewett Thank you for responding. Not to keep asking questions, but if I blend up say 54g of carbs of oats, and then drink it, are you saying I would not absorb 54 g of carbs?

    I’m not becoming negative at all but I’m becoming crazy I can’t get big and stay there or have a big thick muscles
    Some very experienced body builder admitted no way to get big and shredded unless you do use even a small amount of testosterone or steroids
    Sure they say it push you to get like 5 years of muscles gain and most important thickness
    Of cours a diet must be very very clean and as you see here
    Anyone have a real info please help
    I’ll delete these comment afterwards
    Thanks

      Why are you commenting then? Just..stop watching. Some like to follow competitors. You probably never dieted if you don't like watching people eat lol
