my story was a little bit different. My mother found the naked baby bird in the garden and she brought it to me. I made a little nest for it in a small ice cream container and would feed it raw meat... anything I could get my hands on, including lambs brains. I took it everywhere with me, even to school and church and I never let it out of my sight. It didn't need an incubator or anything like that but it was summer so it was warm weather anyway. I fed it whenever it would start squawking and opening its beak. It began to grow feathers and when I felt it had matured enough and had all its feathers, I would take it outside and throw it up in the air a little at a time to exercise its wings and get it to get used to flying. Finally it flew away from me and landed on a nearby branch of a tree on the pedestrian strip. When I whistled to it it would fly back and land on my arm. I think it thought I was its mother. It recognised my whistle because I'd been whistling to it ever since I found it... probably the day it hatched. I didn't know what kind of bird it was and I didn't care. I kept doing this until it could fly longer and longer distances until one day it flew up into a tall gum tree and didn't return. I whistled for it ever day and I thought I could hear it but it didn't come back to me.... until about a week later. I whistled and all of a sudden it came to me and landed on my arm again. It was fully grown by now and it obviously knew how to survive on its own. I was ecstatic. It turned out to be a starling. This bird knew me and would come to me. I will never forget that experience. I never thought a video of a naked baby bird being fed and a man so desperately trying to save it, would make me cry... That poor baby bird. So trusting. Blind and helpless, with it's mouth open. Just believing he would care for it...
I cried almost but I wasn't much surprised with myself, because I tried taking care of a baby pigeon once, I was very naive about the situation, but as I managed to maintain it alive for about 4 days, I was kinda thinking I did know what I was doing, that I got it, but them it died.. I think the whole situation left a hole in my heart, the expectations, the attachment, and the the shock of frustration.. Yes I do know why I almost cried.

Yess!!
What did he apologize the mosquitoes for killing them?
Aww so sweet of him
It only shows his utter degeneration. He kills weak to feed another weak despite being the King of Nature. Lion should never bow before dead zebra, and human is far above both of them.
A beautiful documentary of the first days of this little chick's life.
dude I can't imagine feeding this little demon every 10mins for it to fly away. Good Job and Thank you Sir for this entertaining video and for saving this life
That is literally being a parent
Imagine him telling the other birds his life story, lol. They gonna be so jealous
I saw a egg like the size of the one in the video it was blue I died inside after I saw it the yolk In the opening it fell from a lemon tree it left me feeling sour
😀😀😀😀😀
Actually that can happen
The going be scared man the did have a mom bird not human ( the going to be like who the fuck did raise you up hmmm a human? Are you fucking serious the are too dangerous 😱😱😂😂 Stay away from team in the jungle 😂
I must say I’m seriously impressed. To keep it not only alive, but thriving, was an formidable task. Bless you and all you do for these creatures.

Since my grand twins turned two we have watched these videos in lieu of TV shows. They have watched the Littlest parakeet egg dozens of times and are now fans of birds and hatching eggs. I was hoping you had kid t-shirts. I also ask them, "What kind of person does this kind of work? (patient, caring). We just love your work. thanks.
Oh god everytime it opened its little mouth i wanted to cry like poor babbyyy he so hungry 😭 this is so amazing
Holly I know right...so freaking cute
Baby birds are always hungry lol
Go marriage with him.. Holly Perkins..
hell yeah

Icebear Meoew ...what?
Nature is wonderful, he immediately learned and associated the whistling of the human with the food that would come and opened his tiny mouth, so intelligent! ❤️ thanks for treating him so right
Lol, it was just fucking hungry. Any noise made him open his beak xD Imagine now you're a snake or a lizard next to a nest with some tasty snacks going "aaaaaaaa!" Haha :) Nature truly is wonderful!
DON'T CLICK** unless you'd like to take a mental flight! ua-cam.com/video/XYsI_5372M8/v-deo.html
palemoonlight96 well usually chicks will do that if you just move the nest a bit, how would a bird sing to its chick if its beak is full with food lol
i'm quite sure they can sing to them with food
Dude hes a bird boss
him: "now I am in need of serious supplies"
*kicks plants* GIVE ME SUPPLIES
Video games taught us everything.
Haha best part
Imagine us going out to kick bushes and a cheese burger and a gallon of milk falls out
I got supplies
😂😂😂😍
I saw this video almost 3-4 yrs ago and watching this back is so nostalgic 🥺
I can imagine this man being cornered in an alley by thugs and a bunch of birds swoop in and pick him up and fly him away and they’re like “hey man you saved my grandpa way back in 2017, I owed you this one”
That needs to be in a book! lol
He could be the modern day Pigeon Man
This kinda made me laugh, the word birds and pigeon make me laugh... don’t know why 👏
this cracks me up so much lmao
@Reshia & Willie Minggia what is this

My heart couldn't handle both the anxiety and the cuteness stuffed into this video. A thousand likes !!
Ikr when it said he wasn't responding like he used to I skipped that part cause my heart couldn't handle it.
You are an amazing person, God bless you for the work you do, saving these precious birds .
Only a person with a kind and gentle soul would do this. May God continue to bless you. That was awesome!
Baby birds are also kind and gentle. They are also disgusting and poop everywhere. So does soul of this dude.

Please if anyone happens to foster a baby bird this young, please (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT) mash up the insect youre feeding it with a little water till it's mushy not too watery. Think of the consistency of what the mother would be regurgitating. And then use a dropper or wide syringe. The baby could coke on full bugs. I'm surprised this one didnt. He did a fantastic job. Congrats & thank you! Mother nature appreciates you!
Abby Neel Agreed! I worked in a vet clinic for 10 years and that's how we were taught. Good advice!! Better yet, just take it to a professional 😉
Melinda Eleazer he is an expert he’s been doing this for years on ends
I think this guy knows what he's doing. He's like a bird whisperer, like watching his videos. Wow take it to a professional, you should watch videos before commenting on them. Kids
Watch these don't want to dumb them down. WORD
How would you know if it was a grain eater vs Bug eater?
Exactly! I couldn't believe he hadn't already got something in for if/when the viable egg hatched! It's like going through pregnancy but never thinking to get any nappies or baby clothes!!!
And if it's still gaping, it's unlikely to be old enough to go outside on it's own!
Hatching abandoned eggs is the coolest and sweetest thing ever. It’s sad to find them alone, but so bittersweet to let them go.
This is the best animal documentary I've ever watched. Shockingly touching
For all the people saying this is a hummingbird, it's not. It's a wren, it says so in the description. We don't even have hummingbirds in the Netherlands, which is where this is filmed.
sheeppusher fuck the Haters
would have been funny if he released it and then it hit an oncoming truck.

it was this ua-cam.com/video/wkuo7-sefEQ/v-deo.html that made me think of this.
I guess people were just hoping it wasn't a shitty brown wren is all...

Amazing how it starts life looking like a hairy frog with beak.
Disappointed Turtle : the hair looks like XD ......
LOL
Bless you for your patience of having to feed the little birdy every 10 minutes. Thank you for contributing to that life ❤️
Wait...so u fed it every 10 minutes?!?!? For how long??! How did u even manage to get through one day!?!

Let's take a moment to remember all the animals who had to die for food no one needs...
Ah yes the vegan has been spotted
Shay's ASMR Thanks for your comment, do you have anything relevant to say?
Pmakiie you’re the reason why people don’t like vegans. I’m a vegan as well btw but at least I don’t minimise the death of one thing over the death of others. Let people grieve over animals without being vegan
