LKA is the third largest lake in VA. Smith Mountain is much larger.

Local of Spotsyltucky here. God bless all of you but when I hear people call lake Anna, lake Anna Virginia it's sort of a peaceful rage if you will for me. There is no such place called Lake Anna Virginia. There is however lake Anna in spotsylvania, Louisa and orange counties in Virginia. Mineral is a county within Louisa Virginia. The restaurants are not very good and extremely overpriced. The lake was once a thriving pine Forest converted into a nuclear power plant cooling reservoir. The water is pretty nasty. When I was a kid there were no fish in lake Anna. Due to constant stocking there is now but you couldn't pay me to eat one out of that lake. Why so many northern east coast Americans treat this place like a beach is beyond me. During the spring and summer it is total chaos. The only grocery store in the area is sucked dry by transplants leaving crumbs for the natives of this area. Raising our cost of living. Speeding up and down rt 208 especially and creating very dangerous traveling for anyone in the area. It's funny and massively inconvenient for the people who are actually from here. Thanks for that by the way. Anyway, I can't stop what is being done to our once peaceful and rural home but if all of y'all wanna come down here and treat our home as your playground then at least learn some southern hospitality and respect. Multi-million dollar second homes 2 miles away from people lucky to make over $40k a year is what is really going on around here. It's pretty insulting.

As someone who (self professed!) knows "everything about LKA, your video is full of misinformation, and partially true or incomplete statements!!!

Over time the Richmond folks and those south of Richmond started to head south to Gaston and Kerr when the NOVA folks discover Lake Anna and brought the NOVA prices with them.

Worst part of Lake Anna is realtors and developers, by far. The development is why the water is brown all the way to dike 2 on the cold side, right now, 4/6/24. The civic association should have nothing whatsoever to do with water sampling. It's funny to hear people complain about the power station, when that is THE REASON the lake exists to begin with.

Some of those cons are actually pros to me!🤣
There is no legitimate reason for those cigarette boats to be on Lake Anna.
