Hi Sunita! We're glad you enjoyed the video. I'm pretty scared of heights too but I'm so happy I did this. Hope you have fun in Iceland!!! Let us know how you liked the tour
Thanks Meghan and Quincy! We're near NYC now. Glad you enjoyed those subterranean colors! It really is amazing. You'll have to venture down there! Be sure to share any videos or blogs about your experience if you go. We'd love to see what you think!
This is not a true magma chamber in fact it couldn't even be considered a proto magma chamber; magma chambers are much deeper and also much larger and as large as we think this may be the volume is actually very small. Another important thing to remember magma chambers do not reside near the surface this is simply a magma conduit. I would also like to bring context to being "dormant" this is a monogenetic scoria cone which means it will only ever erupt once. Another eruption at this volcano would form a new vent elsewhere but close by. Seems to me there is a lot of hype and misleading assumptions made about this volcanic feature.
Did you actually think I would never find this or figure out what to do? You shouldn't underestimate people and what they are capable of, for instance look at you guys......🎉
Such a beautiful explanation guys 💖 it's feel like proper documentary
Awe thank you so much!! We are happy you enjoyed the video 😊💖 Thanks for watching!

I would love to do that but that’s extremely pricey, but I did Kilimanjaro at 14 so kind of seen the inside of a volcano already 👍
Wow Mt Kilimanjaro must have been an amazing experience! That's pretty cool you got to do that. It's on our bucket list

That's interesting thanks
Thank you for the information. The tour is actually called "inside the volcano " so we described our experience doing that specific tour.
When I went there the weather was identical I felt as if I were in a Star trek episode walking in the clouds
And my feet were cold and wet
.
Oh no! That's too funny, that's like a carbon copy of our day 🤣 but makes the adventure more unique 😊
Being able to say you've been in a volcano is insane
yes very true!

If you want a cheap meal in Iceland, go to Costco! Seriously.
That's a brilliant idea! I didn't even think to look if they had Costco in Iceland. If we go again, will definitely keep this in mind!
I mean it would be cool, but all it would take is one surprise earthquake and that caldera would fill up with lava again.
Haha yeah.. I can't say I didn't think about that during the descent 😅
$800 not worth it id of spent the money on going places instead
