Regarding comments about building air tight: People should educate themselves on building science. Joe Lstiburek or Allison Bailes. There are four control layers (Water, Air, Vapor, Thermal) You can build tight if you ventilate right. Would you want a leak in a submarine? There’s a sustainable living environment in a sub. Leaks in a house are uncontrolled.
i've been barkin up that tree with him for a loooong time on sooooo many vids, lol. bit stuck in the past, despite the wealth of knowledge & experience.
Broke ground in the North East (CT) 3000 sqft home, in March ! Love your videos
that freezing/thawing question around 24:00 was something I had thought about. I don’t have a high elevation but I was wondering about the more vulnerable parts of a foundation over a rough winter.

Leaking air causes mold. Your advice might be reliable for areas for Sandiago. But nowhere else.
If you want your building to breathe either leave a window open 24x7😂 Buildings need to breathe through ERVs not through leaks through crawlspace and duct leaks through dead rodents and glass insulation particles
Architects are overpriced draft person. I dealt with one that charged me $50k for POS design.
