I’ve had that issue on this truck what I ended up doing is, I finished breaking the ignition switch by forcing the biggest flat head screw driver I can fit inside the key hole and turning it. Or try inserting your key and shaking it up and down until it breaks free if your ignition is still in ok condition hope this helps👍.

That's a tumbler, the switch is the electrical part.

What if they damaged it to where you can’t turn ? I’m having that problem.

Pull the shifter in gear and the truck won’t start when you turn the ignition to release the retainer.
This is the Lock Cylinder not the switch, you lined the switch up with the screw driver.
