Hi Brian. I don't know if you're being sarcastic or serious, but man, you have a point: I would love it if Suzuki could make a 350 or even better, a 500--and add ABS. It would be my dream bike! In fact (not that they don't know, I'm sure) I intend to write Suzuki about this matter.

Don't stop making the TU250X, there's definitely a market for a small beginner bike, but they could sell 3x as many TU350Xs (with a slightly larger frame) or a TU400X. If they go up to a 400, 450 or a 500 that would be great but Suzuki would then have to change the rear brakes & go with considerably more heavy-duty suspension (& yes, ABS!)
@@87Sakiel If you consider the DR-Z400 dual-sport Enduro, Suzuki hasn't changed the bike in 20 years, primarily so they don't have to meet EPA emission standards, I talked to a Suzuki rep & the DR-Z400 is actually one of their most profitable bikes, even though it doesn't have fuel injection or other modern updates - So if it ain't broke why fix it?! Plus zero $s for R&D. My point is, I think Suzuki is a bit unusual in their business model (logic) as compared to Honda or Yamaha. (Yamaha is the only company still producing a quad, but I digress). I agree with you, a TU400X would be better than a 350, in that sweet spot of plenty of power & ability for cruising long freeway trips, while keeping the weight manageable. I feel when you get up over 500 cc's the bike becomes a monster - Ha!
I wonder if it’s because by fitting a bigger engine means it comes into direct conflict with other models in the Suzuki family, or similarly puts it into direct competition with bigger engines bikes from other manufactures that may have more options etc. To give an idea of what I mean, I remember reading that Maserati (or perhaps it was an Alfa Romeo) once made a car a few years back which people questioned why it didn’t have a bigger engine - though it was never officially admitted, putting a bigger engine meant it would be faster than one of the Ferrari models which was also out at the same time (and as Maserati or was it Alfa Romeo🤷♂️) and as Masa (or Alfa) were at the time part of the same family as Ferrari this was considered a big no-no lol. I’m not a biker (but looking to start) and from what I can understand this bike was primarily aimed at inner city/town riding and targeted at the new rider (so folks like me with no experience hahaha) and aimed at those with lots of experience but enjoy chucking a small capacity bike around (think of it like how people still like driving the original Mini). Either way great video - it’s definitely given me some ideas for when I get mine……also I love the colour.

I sold my Suzuki few months back and now ride a Honda shadow phantom.

The bike looks great as is. One thing I don't like about the appearance is that the graphics are all decals. This is one necessary step to keep the price down.

@@walkerskii id buy a 400 cc tu in a heartbeat. Where i live. 400cc and less cost alot less for registration yearly. So 400 would be perfect for me.

You might be right, Sean. The mod was done by the previous owner, and I quite like it. It really transforms the bike.
