@@marcward3417 according to Deen Castronovo, the new sound guy made it possible for Arnel to hear himself. Meaning it's not autotune or whatever. Apparently, it has been a long standing problem for Arnel to hear himself, his voice is overpowered by the band's instrument. Now he can belt out the correct pitch etc. simply coz he now can hear himself.
Notice how those bashers and haters stop their negative comments. Lately Arnel is sounding really great..I read a comments recently that Journey is playing backing vocals..lol..the guy sounds better than before. Sounds better like he is on his prime again. He is taking care of himself really good.

Journey has been a Cover Band Since 2007. Journeys albums with AP, doesn't even get Radio Airplay, that tells me all I need to know....... Journey should have have hung it up 15 years ago

If Steve Perry is still on the vocals, In my opinion I don't think they will touring like this. I don't think he will sing like this. This is amazing displaying of vocals from a 55 year old. Those people who think journey is better with Steve right now. Big no. He will just embarrassed himself. Look at Bon Jovi, not even 60 and sounds horrible. But respect those guys, it's the wear and tear. Enjoy this new Journey while Arnel is soaring.
Steve Perry also didn't sing for 20 plus years. There are singers older than Jon Bon Jovi that are absolutely killing it!! - Steven Tyler, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford. Jon is the result of cigarette smoking and singing for years with improper vocal technique. I love Jon but I think he needs to retire.
