Random Mowing 6 - New Mulch Plug

- I got the basic standard plastic mulch plug, and it is pretty handy for mowing in narrow places without blowing grass all over everything. But it definitely needs to be reinforced to keep it on straight.

I wondered about this Plug but never made the move, Leaves a nice clean cut Team Cub!💯💪🏾
Well, it works, but it's flimsy. I looked everywhere for a company who makes a metal one but there isn't one. I am going to use this plastic one as a template and fabricate my own.
@@Something2LookAt Excellent 👍🏾
Nice. I’d love to see this same yard bagged. Then the Bahia would look like a baseball field
Lawn looks good!
Mike you had me with a nice relaxing video until the Starbucks and redbull kicked in you did it to me again almost like watching sponge bob square pants I couldn't keep up with you 😂😂😂
he he, did you see that Ford truck out on the street suddenly take off? :)
I want wondering where the fire was😅😅😅
Times 315 very unique.
That mulch plug helps cutting down the amount of grass getting blown on the concrete
Yea, and I guess it might be better not to even cross onto the concrete?
@@Something2LookAt well at least you got it done with less grass on the concrete but sometimes you got to cross the concrete to get the grass cutting done
I’ve gone through so many plugs for my 42. I gave up. You’ll see why.
Oh I can see that it's not going to last. I'm going to use it as a template to make a metal one.
Personally I think X-bladeing is better because you don't get wind rows and in really tall grass you will have to open the chute anyway 😊
Thanks for reminding me about X-blades. I don't know if I could get them onto this mower because of the way they mount, but I sure have them for the Scag! I'll go dig them out...
Your supposed to use in all mowers gasoline ⛽️ with no Methanol in it along with all your trimmers and weed wackers, chain saws and so on that's what you call marine gasoline 😊
I used to watch your videos a lot and just started watching your videos again. What happened to the Scag? You used to always use that mower
I just made a big video with the Scag last week. It's the video just before this one. Lawn care vlog 55. The Cheetah is doing just fine. :)
@@Something2LookAt good to hear!
I ended up screwing the bottom of the plug to the deck because every time I would cut the grass the plug will blow out and grass will be going everywhere and haven’t had a problem since been about two years.
Yea, it came with zip ties to do that but I need to remove this constantly so I gotta come up with something else to secure the bottom, quickly, like vice grips.
my grandmother lives in Winter Park, FL and is unable to mow her yard, how much would you charge?
I'm sorry, I can't service that area. I don't know any lawn services who work there either. I hope she finds somebody.
Whatcha think? My cub cadet rider sounds like it is rattling apart when I mulch heavy grass and it leaves tiny wind rows when the chute-side is facing up hill
It does fantastic mulching in St Augustine. You'd swear it was bagged. But in Bahia grass it struggles, and these blades are super sharp! I'll just use the mulch plug in the tight areas where I can't blow grass all over everything.
Missing the other screws at the bottom
Well, it came with zip ties for that, but I need to take this off and put it on constantly. I'm gonna have to go with some kind of reinforcement on the plastic, or something. Ideas anyone?
Mike, why would you not answer my question about high octane fuel for your lawn mowers? I wanted to know if you’ve tried it and if you have what do you think of it I do it and it works so much better on my lawnmower. It runs better. I have a John Deere zero turn and I love it. Please answer my question. Thank you.
I have answered that before. I'm just not quite as curious as you. I'm fine with the way they are running.
