Its all coming together so beautifully. You will be able to grow so much food. Espaliered fruit trees make a great edge to go along a fence or border and can be underplanted with strawberries or lettuce. The chuckens are such characters. Its like everything you do is for them!
Anna, you are doing such a great job on your house & grounds. Everything looks so good. I hope that you are proud of your accomplishments. I hope that you’re able to relax & enjoy your home & lovely chicken pets. 👍🏻👏🏻🇨🇦
Thank you Daniel for your beautiful guitar playing and also for helping Anna with the osb and plasterboard although I have to say Anna you were doing very well on your own but I am not surprised you ached after that 😢 The chickens do like to help you with the digging don't they 😂😂
Your study is going to be very beautiful, and you’ll take pride in the fact you did it yourself and with the help of a good guy like Daniel. Thanks for a lovely video.
I’m so glad I found your channel. I’m extremely stressed out right now and your videos are relaxing and inspiring. Your attention to sustainability is admirable. Your home is lovely and inviting and I can’t wait for the next video.
The drone shots really show the transformation of the yard from when you first started working on it. Space has really opened up, and looks so much more tidy. Lining up one hole is a task itself, but that was impressive lining up 2 with that one rockwall board. As long as they are out of the wind, the chickens should be fine. Grew up raising them, and we have heavy winters. Just have to make sure their water doesn't freeze, and they have nice bedding to nest up in.
Anna your skills at carpentry have improved so much you’ve done a great job doing those slanted walls .It’s so funny watching the chickens as you dig in the garden they can’t wait to see what treasure you uncover for them to eat …there so friendly .♥️🇨🇦
Daniel at 19:15 reminded me of Titanic " Paint me like one of your french girls". :) You are so wonderful and I love love love this life you are building for yourself!
I just started watching your videos about a month ago.Youre making good progress every week. I wish I was there to lend a hand with it but youre doing excellent. Keep up the good work. Much love from Missouri
It's beautiful seeing your chicken helping you dig. I look forward to your videos and seeing the progress that you've made. I am in the U.S. and shared your videos with my 2 friends who live in Sweden.
Hey Anna! Again my greatest respect for your work and abilities!!😌🤗very good job and super help from your friend Daniel!🤗the chickens are good colleagues, too😌😃🐓🐓🐓have a nice weekend! Hugs from Iris from southwest Germany!🙋♀️🌟✨
I really was so glad to see that you guys have started your study. You;ll soon be finished with your home. I know you'll be so proud. It's been so much fun watching your videos.everything is awesome.
The chickens were so funny digging along with you! They really are good pets! I’m sure they get lots of worms, bugs and minerals from the newly-dug soil. When I dig my raised beds, the robins come right there next to me and look for worms! I know I have them in there; it means healthy soil! Your chickens will be healthy for getting fresh protein and the minerals they crave! 🐓
They sure are lovely pets! Sometimes I feel like they eat every single worm there is in the ground, haha, hopefully there are some left to help me decompose stuff 💚
love your videos and love Daniels music such strenuous work with relaxing music goes well together almost makes it seem easy work even though clearly its not
I like your attic fix! You did the sleeping loft last time; now the study. Then the attic space is done? Wonderful! And you’re doing a lot of outside work building the raised beds for next spring. I did that, too! Am able to grow quite a lot in the three 4’X 4’ raised beds. Surprising! Eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, cucumbers and early radishes and arugula. I tried Brussels sprouts and broccoli last year but white fly got them. 😐
Wow that's great - apart from the flies.. 💚 I really want to be able to grow loads (half my plants go to the snails), guess I will be very busy in spring 😅
As usual I loved your latest episode… I especially enjoy your chickens so much. Today I burst out laughing at their antics. Hope to see you and the chicks again soon.
Hi Anna, greetings from South Carolina, U.S.A. I so enjoy the peacefulness of your videos and just how you may have not done something before but you just “ go for it”! My husband and I have done some home renovations but are D.I.Y.ers. We seemed to always misplace our tools and waste a whole lot of time until we find them where we left them but simply forgot where we went and layed them down. Haha. The hardest was a house we flipped with no air conditioning in over 90 (32.22 ) degree heat, ugh! Just awful, I went home drenched in sweat. Yuck! Anyways, thanks a lot for sharing your journey.
Hello from Canada, love your channel. I guess our winters are much colder here because we use a vapour barrier (plastic sheeting) between the warm side of the wall and the insulation before sheeting the wall, as is required by out building code. This avoids condensation in the wall when the warm meets the cold. Cheers
Thank you 💚 I use a vapour "break" (not a full barrier) along with wood fiber insulation, it allows some moisture to travel through which is supposedly better for old houses.
Love how the chickens always come to help you. I'm surprised you didn't put insulation in the wall. I would think you definitely need it in Sweden. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Anna, great work, video and edit. Have you considered a second career as a contortionist? You're almost there, as demonstrated by your plasterboarding😊. 💪👍
The chickens will be ok without heat, as long as they have access to water. We sometimes get down to 10 below F, and mine do just fine. I think the really hot weather is harder on them I usually put a container of ice in their run so they can lay next to it and cool down.
Amazing work. Love everything about your life. The chickens, your raised beds, your work in your home. Who is Daniel? Your friend, brother or boyfriend? He is such good help. ❤
Your house is turning out beautiful! I look forward to your videos and seeing your progress. I know you're a grown woman, but please be careful on your ladder wearing socks. I slipped down steps wearing socks and broke a vertebrae and am always afraid someone will slip when I see them on stairs in socks.
My coop is not heated. If you raise cold-hardy chickens, they generally don’t need heat. If it gets. Too cold, a simple radiant light works well. Just remember to always be careful with electric devices in a coop. That includes water heaters. When in use, check them periodically. You don’t want a fire. I make sure that my light is clean from dust kicked up by active chickens.
Have you considered a red/orange incandescent lightbulb or two for the chickens in winter? We had one in our doghouse and it worked quite well for a little heat.
Thank you 💚 They all have names after famous women's rights activists 😅 Gertrude, Emmeline, Christabel, Silvana and Karolina. I don't name (and try not to befriend) the roosters as I can't keep them once they start to crow sadly..
Don't put hot water in the coop. Moisture will increase the risk of frostbite. They will be quite well and happy with the insulated coop, don't worry. 😊
I have a heater in my water for my chickens. But it's outside the coop. No heat inside. The chickens will go into thermal shock if the power goes out when it's cold and they are used to a heater. Plus they grow thick warm feathers on purpose for winter. They really don't want a heater.
The paper is a breathing air barrier (from Isolina), and under that I have about 20 cm of wood fiber insulation. That allows some moisture to wander through the materials, which they are meant to be able to handle 😊
Lovely to hear some more of Daniel’s beautiful guitar work.
It just warms my heart to watch your chickens helping you. They love you.
The one helping her dig up the rocks with her little chicken feet. 😄

Your chickens are hilarious. I love seeing them helping you with gardening

Gosh you’re amazing, such a hard worker and great eye for detail. Good on Daniel for helping out, and your hens too!
I love your chickens. They’re so helpful. ❤

Isn't the brown paper already between the joists the inner side of a type of insulation? I know here in Canada there is such a kind. 🤔.
The insulation is behind the paper
There’s insulation in the walls already mate.. that’s why the papers there.
It sure is strange! Someone else also mentioned the term being the wrong way around, haha, glad someone pointed it out 😂💚

Sorry, for some reason I cant get the subtitles to work on this video.. 💚
Have you considered a red/orange incandescent lightbulb or two for the chickens in winter? We had one in our doghouse and it worked quite well for a little heat.
Yes I think I will sort out some heating for them 💚

Thank you 💚 They all have names after famous women's rights activists 😅 Gertrude, Emmeline, Christabel, Silvana and Karolina. I don't name (and try not to befriend) the roosters as I can't keep them once they start to crow sadly..
Don't put hot water in the coop. Moisture will increase the risk of frostbite. They will be quite well and happy with the insulated coop, don't worry. 😊
Maybe a heating mat under the water would be a solution. Saw @MartijnDoolaard do this for his chickens in the Italian alps recently.
@@WineAndMortarI also watch Martijn 😊

I will do, just got the insulation delivered 🙂

😊
Curious as to why you put up OSB under the plaster boards? I don’t remember you doing that in the bedroom area.
I just went with OSB and regular plasterboards on that last side as I had some left over from the shed ✨ Much easier to work with!
